We booked the marina for 1 night about 2 hours prior to checking in. It's a self check in and hadn't received the code yet but contacted Andrew and gained access within around 5 minutes. We have never booked the same day before but it was made easy and the room was spotless, clean and a nice room a little small but that was no issue. There is a fridge and microwave in the room and also a hair dryer in the draws. The bathroom was clean, and big enough the only down fall was the shower It's self 15 minutes we tried every setting possible but the temperature was either too hot or too cold so gave up had a quick wash and got out. The room does have a decent size TV but is on the wall at the side of the bed making it difficult to watch and is way to high, that's my only 2 reasons for the 4 stars.

Un! Believe! Able!So we booked a stay here at 2pm on the day of arrival. Our arrival was 20.40pm so plenty of time to prepare for our stay. We got there and there was nobody around to check us in. There are 2 numbers to ring but however, the chap who was running this place didn't answer so we rang the next number. The lady that answered was a bit bemused and didn't know what to do despite her best efforts. We were sent around the back of the building & up the stairs with no joy. Not the kind of messing about we were looking for at that time of night. We were then sent a code that didn't work, again, more needless faffing about! We again tried around the back of the hotel only to find the door open. We gained entry to our room but to a bit of a shock, the room had been occupied by someone else, the beds were slept in, rubbish on the floor and dirty towels ect. We had to book a room elsewhere because of the lack of communication. I honestly don't know how this place is still open after the way they treat people and their own porperty!

Fantastic stay at the Marina! Myself and my dad Mark stayed there during the Open Championship week and we were very impressed with everything! ||||Andrew, Andy and Joyce couldn’t have done more for us over the week and when the Open returns to Troon in the future, we won’t have any hesitation of booking this guest house again!

Fabulous service..we stayed for 4 nights while The Open was on in Troon . The owners Andrew and Andy provided us drives back and forth daily to Troon . They went above and beyond to help out |The rooms were very clean, with water , coffee and tea provided

Lovely location overlooking the harbour. The hotel was absolutely spotless, and the bedding was very cosy.Our bathroom was a little small, but it did it's job, and it was again spotlessly clean. The size of it may be a problem if you're a larger sized person, not much room to manoeuvre to be honest - but can only speak for the one we had.All in all, had a nice stay here, and would definitely book again

Recently stayed in the family guest room at the Marina and can say nothing but positive things about our stay! The room itself was incredibly clean and had lovely presentation and our host Andrew was an absolute gentleman and ensured our time was comfortable and enjoyable. We highly look forward to our next stay! Thank you again to all the wonderful staff at the Marina :)
