Located on the banks of the Clyde, this hotel is simply surprisingly gorgeous! The views out of the window are beautiful. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious!!! The breakfast staff does what it takes to make the experience fantastic. The food is very nicely cooked. Being a vegetarian, they were quick to offer vegetarian sausages (scrumptious!) instead of the pork ones in the buffet. They also prepare eggs as poached or fried if desired. The fried eggs were perfectly cooked and delicious. It is a 2-minute walk to a shopping mall and many different stores - barber, electronics, restaurants, etc.I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Great hotel and great location. The room was clean and very comfortable. Staff were really friendly, the food and drinks were really nice and the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Walking distance to Glasgow Central too.

I have a mixed review, as you will see. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was great. However, the layout of the hotel rooms is a bit confusing and can create a bit of havoc upon your initial check in. It is truly a "maze" to get from your room to the center of the establishment, breakfast, etc. That being said, once becoming established, we navigated the process much better. Location seemed good.

Great experience from check in to check out. Front desk staff were so friendly and showed us how to find the lifts to the bedrooms which was really helpful. …

Nice hotel in the center of town. Our tour stayed here, so it felt very safe. Room was clean, modern and nice sized. Nice Breakfast buffet was included, and pretty busy. I asked for an extra blanket, and received a big heavy duvet, which was awesome.

Fabulous hotel overall, staff were brilliant, service was great, river views are stunning from the upper floors of the west tower. My only slightly negative comments would be the breakfast options could have offered more vegetarian choice, the scrambled eggs were very watery and the hash browns were squashed and rubbery. The TV in the room was a faff to watch anything other than standard channels. Having said this however we will definitely be staying at the Clayton again the next time we visit Glasgow, many thanks folks :)

Stayed whilst seeing Keane at the OVO. Requested a high floor before arriving which was granted. 14th floor with great views over the river Clyde. Very easy and friendly check in from reception worker. Room lovely and clean. …

We spent two nights here in July and it was excellent. Great location, 5 minutes from the station. Our room was spacious, quiet and very comfy (room 627) we paid extra for a river view. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and breakfast was excellent (extra but worth it). Also good effort on environmental impact, ie no single use toiletries, no plastic water bottles. It's not cheap, probably more expensive because of the golf, but worth the money.
