Do not book I had to run out and abandon the room it was disgusting. Building smelt like weed. Was shown to a room which looked like set from a horror film. I was locked in with no key to get out. Dirty floor and linen furniture falling to bits dirty cup to drink out of. This place should be condemned. If I stayed there I would be killed by the morning for sure

The room was described as a ‘deluxe double room’ which could not have been further from the truth. It is situated above a take away chicken shop from where the keys had to be collected, this was the first warning sign. The room itself was disgusting. There was no carpet, but Lino which had been mopped and left soaking wet with puddles. The bed linen was dirty and the room was poorly decorated with holes in the walls which had been roughly filled and not painted. There was one old diy wardrobe and two bottles of water and plastic beakers which had been left in the window to get lovely and warm. To top it all the room stank of cannabis! For £100!!!!!! we could have got a lovely room at a premier inn with breakfast. Here we got a disgusting flea pit of a room and nothing else.As there was no way we were going to stay or sleep in the dirty bed we handed back the keys and were unable to book anything else at short notice so it spoilt our weekend.Avoid at all costs, dirty, smellly and disgusting.

Our stay was based on the pictures presented to us that were totally fake. We had a room with no window much like a 1 hour knocking shop. It was dirty and bed was not changed, there is no kitchen and the front desk is the chicken shop downstairs. Leave keys in the post box. So we did no more than 15 minutes after getting there. I wouldn't even recommend to the homeless. Toilette and rooms are stinking.good luck trying to get a refund, the man we spoke too was very rood and kept going on about some notice which the chicken shop never gave us. This place should never be open. For your reference keys must be handed in within 30 mins for a full refund. And that refund is through the chicken shop, under the consumer rights act 2017 that is your entitlement, any problem contact trading standards like we have.

It was a year since we visited Castle view, but we haven't forgotten at all our catastrophic experience. Public toilets are cleaner than our room was. Views are great but but hard to see them though a dirty moldy window. Shower didn't work, the owner assured us a plumber is coming to fix it, but then he said it was our fault as we didn't know how to operate a shower. What a ridiculous comment. If you want to try some tasty chicken from downstairs please allow yourself to buy a 12 toilet rolls to be safe.Kind regards
