We wanted to eat something here, but when we went to the toilet, someone immediately said that we had to pay 20 bath. Paid and left

We only had 2 times breakfast, 3 times lunch and 1 time dinner here during our 4 day stay at Wangsai resort (neighbouring resort).The vibe here was so much better than at Wangsai that we only stayed at the beach in front of Mae Haad Island View Resort to swim, sunbathe and enjoy the food and drinks here. Red snapper from the bbq (400 tbh) was the best we had during our 3 week stay in Thailand. But be aware of all the flies that will surround you when you order fish. The people were also friendly!

Ordered a tuna baguette, it came with the tiniest bit of tuna in. Sent it back and the waiter came back and said I have to pay extra for more tuna?? The baguette had none in and I had to pay more. When we explained they didn’t want to do anything about it so I just had to eat it and pay.

BE AWARE ! We have been charge THB 50 extra because we asked to heat a soup, how ridiculous ? Knowing that they didn’t let us know and we ordered some drinks and food, plus we are staying in the resort. Not a hospitality practice, this resort look only at making few extra $$$ on their guest. TO AVOID !

The staff at the "restaurant" on the beach wasn't really what I would expect at a resort like this. I've seen better/nicer/more helpful staff in "normal" hotels a thousand times. We were there to watch the sunset. The menus are so horrible that I didn't even want to touch them. Armchairs, tables really dirty with bird farts etc. The sanitary facilities were no different. Sad! Such an expensive hotel and then so savings are made, or I guess everyone doesn't care if the menu cards are torn up and full of food etc. and the service is terrible.Oh well. The sunset was beautiful.

The resort it self is really nice and in a amazing location.I work online therefore internet speed is something that is very important to me.I took a trip out to the beach nearby and on the way back I stopped by the front desk when a staff member approached and asked if I needed help. I explained that I’m am looking to stay in a place that has super quick internet I asked to speed test the internet he allowed me to. Once completed I thanked him and said I would look around the island for quicker speed, the attitude I got after I said that not one should get from anyone.Very disappointed with this guys attitude.
