I booked Hotel No. 31 through Agoda a month ago, but the hotel was oversold, which affected my trip. There are no other hotels on the island.

This place is amazing! Staff is lovely and helpful, they will organize a scooter to rent - which you will need, but it's absolutely worth it. The room and the view is beautiful, the furniture is so nice and the bed super comfy.

Bungalows located off the beaten track. Quiet, located in tiers on a hill. The view is splendid over the surrounding vegetation. A little exercise is required to access the bungalows but fortunately a loaded lift delivers the luggage. Recommended for people seeking peace and quiet. The owner speaks a little English and helps you rent scooters (obligatory for getting around).

A lovely little stay here. Ignore the harsh comments. Yes the owners don’t speak much English but that is fine, yes there are many steps but that is also fine. The views are great and the room is more than sufficient. Lovely comfy bed, wifi and a big TV (also a big fridge). If you’re not comfortable walking up stairs then don’t book. Also if you don’t want to rent scooter then also don’t book, scooter is a must. It is only a 12 min walk to the local shop / coffee spot! I would stay here again, it was lovely.

It is situated in one of the top hills of KohPhangan. No in house restaurants, no scope to walk to the convenience areas and yes, you need to climb at least 50-60 steep stairs to get to the bungalows. There's no telephone in the room, each time you need sth, you need to literally climb up and down the stairs to the reception where big fat barking dogs will be sitting to welcome you. The staff hardly understand English and you'll feel depressed and secluded. The room's price might be less, but it is going to cost you a hell of a lot of money just to get to any food place. It is impossible to walk to the main areas, food place, convenience areas on foot given the hilly roads, that are literally crests and troughs of a wave. Think 1000 times before booking this hotel.

High in the mountains. Should have been a good view.In fact you get view from big dirty window of an unfinished building, nature, trees and sea.To reach the room, you need to overcome a steep high staircase.There is no reception. If you need smth, you have to go downstairs to the owner’s house which is guarded by dogs, and they bark. Owners are friendly, but they don’t speak english, we used google translate.There were someone’s hair in shower drain. I had to clean it by myself, because the water didn’t pass.Very weak water pressure in shower. Taking a shower took 2 times longer than usual.Ants in the room and caterpillar in bathroom.Every morning I woke up with bites on my body. I’m not sure that it was mosquitoes, because I didn’t see and didn’t hear mosquitoes in the room. Also I bought mosquito repellent and used it at night, but it didn’t help.I suppose maybe there were fleas in the bed.We had a kettle, but no cups and spoons. For 4 nights there were only 1 tea bag and 2 coffee bag for two people, no sugar.Safe in the room didn’t work.To switch on the light in the room you have to go inside, go around the bed and then find the switch. Not convenient in the dark, need to use mobile flashlight.About good things: clean bed sheets, soft towels, spacious room, big TV (we didn’t use), staff gave me flower vase, when I asked, not high price.

the wooden walls are wafer thin, so you can hear every conversation, fart and argument your neighbours are having. very pretty location, but unfortunately waay too noisy for quality sleep. the owner is a nice guy though. look elswhere if you like to sleep.

About halfway between the main port and the beach for the full moon party I thought the location perfect. It's also a bit off the main road so it is quiet.All the huts are up a steep flight of 80 steps or so, but it affords you a beautiful view to the ocean. Fan only and with a so-so water heater in our room but nights were cool and comfortable. Rooms all had bug screens for the windows so no mosquitoes at night.My big complaint was the bed. I've never been on a mattress so worn out you could see, and feel, ever single spring in the mattress individually. I had red marks in the pattern of mattress springs on my back in the morning. Based on the other reviews maybe only our room had a bad mattress though.Our room did have a small number of ants making their way in though they never strayed from their established route. It's the jungle and bugs are expected.Owner provided a good map and pointed out where everything was and noted a few events coming up.
