It's an absolutely amazing place! The huts are all around the pool, and the pool looks straight to the ocean! The lady that runs the place is super lovely and can help you with recommendations and such!You can see her around the place most of the time, cleaning or doing something to keep the surroundings nice!The huts are pretty basic, nice big beds (pillows a bit too hard for us, but that's up to taste I believe), a bathroom with towels and bit of toiletries and a little terrace with a table, couple chairs and a hammock! Curtains infront of all windows, always warm water in the shower and Wifi (which was okay)!Location is perfect if you have a scooter, far away so you have your peace and quite but close enough to have lovely restaurants (Tom's kitchen is close and cheap, but opens at 11am so not for the early birds) and a 7-11 within a couple minutes of driving. It's also just about 10 /15 minutes walking 🤷🏽♀️Harmony beach club (for the Half moon party is about 30 min walking).It's kinda in the middle of Haad rin and Thong Sala, the two crowded/ busy areas on the island. So you can easily go to Saturday night walking street in Thong Sala and also have a crazy night out in Haad Rin at the beach with all the bars (also where the Fullmoon Party is happening).Would definitely come back!

It’s a bit of the Tinder effect here. Magnificent photos, bungalows at the water’s edge, a swimming pool…. But when we arrive, the photos are 20 years old, and since then everything has been dilapidated, what a shame...but that's the case for many bungalows here, no renovation for 20 years and pitiful state. They will tell us that it is because of the Covid, except that it is only true here in the rest of Thailand for this price range it is clean, not dilapidated with cleaning and clean towels all days. In short, we are very, very far from that here...

If you want to clear your head, this is the place to come. Just a little away from the main settlement, this place is in a quiet area. Since it is a family business, you will feel safe while staying there. Thanks for everything.

Superb location with a very pleasant swimming pool. We stayed for 6 days in a rustic hut which was therefore quite authentic. We have the impression of having experienced a plunge in time a few decades ago which stopped there, I recommend. Be careful, however, depending on the population staying, the experience can radically change as the site is small. There is quite a lot of promiscuity and respect for others is a value that varies depending on the person.

Very good stay at Munchies Bungalows.Small downside: the bathroom which does not have a window.But this is quickly made up for by the incredible view the location offers!I recommend !!

The complex is about to be completely renovated, only the beautiful pool remains. That's why little repairs are being made to the huts. I closed the existing cracks in the windows and walls myself and put a rolled up towel under the door, so we didn't have a single animal in the hut. Only 2 huts with AC, which is something you should treat yourself to, especially in the hot season (we were there in April). Bungalow 2 is the best, right in front of the beach. Very, very nice owners (a Thai woman and her husband from Switzerland)! The bar area is not open, but can be used by guests without any problems (large refrigerator, kettle, smoothie maker, dishes, after 2 days we even found a sandwich maker 😋). The pool was really good and useful, it was looked after every day, the beach is very shallow and not really suitable for swimming.You should have a scooter, the arrangement by the owners was ok. Not the newest machines, but ours drove.Conclusion: we had a great time, the price-performance ratio was right! The authors of the bad reviews should just spend a little more money and go somewhere else 😉.

We spent three nights at Munchies Bungalows. We were able to get to my fullmoon from here and back for 300 baths per person by shared taxi.The Thai owner is very attentive, very kind, smiling, she helped us with a problem with a scooter that we had taken from another rental. His daughter is adorable.As indicated on booking, the bungalows do not have air conditioning, but a large fan directed towards the bed allows you to spend pleasant nights.Beautiful sunsets visible from the beach or the hotel pool. Collective fridges to store food and drinks. I recommend !

If you are looking for a quiet place, don't hesitate, the manager is very kind and takes great care. The rooms are nevertheless quite rustic but honestly for the price you won't find better.

The location is great and the hosts are very nice.Unfortunately, our bungalow was pretty dirty, the sockets were so worn out that you could hardly charge anything and there was little storage space for luggage.

Actually we book 4 days, than made it 9 days. And we visit Cambodia now going back to Koh phangan . Stay in that hotel again. So friendly a family running small bungalow hotel. Definitely highly recommend

We travelled all over Thailand for 2 months and this was the most disappointing place we stayed. Paid 3 nights, stayed 1. The cabins are rustic and looked cute in pics, but ours smelled strongly of mould (could see it on the walls). The bathroom especially had no ventilation, smelled strongly of mould and was a big step down from the cabin.I got a bunkbed for my kids, but the top bunk did not have a side bar, so it was a long fall if she rolled off, so despite my effort of having my own bed, my child had to sleep with me.If you could sleep through the noise of the pump just outside, you were woken at 5am by the rooster and hens that did circles around the bungalow.A stray dogs was constantly on our deck (which scared my daughters) and a few more were on the beach.It was really far from restaurants and shops, so became a chore to take the kids out for food (there was none on the property at least at the time of year we stayed).The owner seemed pleasant, but very removed. Didn't even ask why we were leaving.The pool was nice, but not enough to make up for all the other things for us (plus the dogs were around the pool).Maybe nice for a 'backpackers' experience, but about the same price as several other places just down the beach where we actually slept through the night, had a pool and didn't smell wet mould.

The huts were in a dilapidated state - holes were simply closed with adhesive tape. Very uncomfortable beds. Noisy, due to animals but also the lifting system (was right next to our house. Nice pool, right on the beach.

We had a really nice vacation here.It's right by the sea, you have a great pool that is beautifully lit in the evenings and the bungalows are modest but absolutely sufficient. We just slept in it anyway. :DThe service was also impeccable. The atmosphere is magical and you can rent a bike cheaply and can also order a taxi if you wish. We left with a heavy heart. Gladly again. :)

No light on way to the place,A full day without electricity and water, when we begged for shower, the manger answered "If you want shower, go to the pool"We felt like we're alone with no answersWouldn't recommend at all
