Pros:The view over the park and the lake to the temples is surely one of the best views in Thailand. Stunning! Please see my photos. I believe the name of the guest house is actually a mid spelling of ‘Lake View’.On the upper floor is a terrace where guests can sit and enjoy the amazing view. There are facilities for making hot and cold drinks. Fantastic place to relax or to work.Location is perfect. Absolutely central in Mae Hong Son. Just a very short walk to the walking street, the main shopping street, the park and the temple complex. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within a few minutes walk.The couple who run the place are very friendly and accommodating. A homely, family oriented atmosphere.It is very, very cheap considering the above.Cons:The place is ageing. There is a sense of time having crept up on it. It cries out for renovation.The rooms are very basic - but the price is low so it is a fair deal.Conclusion:I will come back here. But if I was trying to impress someone I would take them somewhere more expensive.Note:Only 4 rooms here so unsuitable for large groups and probably best to book well in advance Iain high season.

The price of 250thb for a private room with a fan and private bathroom is a great deal.There is a room with a soft mattress and a second one with a hard one.The bed linen is clean.The rooms are old, but fully consistent with the price.

The guesthouse is on the lakefront, a 3-minute walk from the night market.Unbeatable price (300 baht), but a refreshment wouldn't be too much trouble.The owners are very friendly, she speaks English very well.The fan was quite noisy, a small fridge was missing.If you are looking for somewhere cheap, well located, good place for a nightSeveral shops 500 meters away (7/11, ...)

Bad, Very Bad! Worst Place I stayed in Thailand.Poor Sound Proofing or None at all. Heavyfootsteps and items dropping occasionally till late at night & early morning from the long stayer upstairs, and noisy couple staying next door talking and coughing almost the whole night for 4 nights woke me up again and again, couldn't get any proper sleep. And male owner turned aggressive when I made my complaints. He wanted to confront and fight me. I was ready to go to the Police. Covid should wiped out their business and teach them a lesson to treat every customer complaint with respect, gratitude and friendliness. They chose not to believe the truth and take my complaint seriously. Bad management. Rude. I don't stay for free. I pay for my room. Stay somewhere else.! I moved to better, cleaner and friendlier guesthouse near by.

Really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. Originally booked 3 nights & then extended a few days. Our host Pong & her family are so nice & made us feel welcomed. Our room #2 had a fan, comfortable bed, private bathroom with hot shower. Small room with a chair & small vanity desk. Nothing fancy, 300 baht per night, which was good for us. The common space upstairs has shared outdoor kitchen area & lounging. The view of the temple & walking street nightlife is the highlight of this guesthouse. Easy walk to walking street, 7 eleven, & restaurants.

The room is quite clean. The bed is comfortable. But the bathroom still doesn't feel very clean. Maybe because of old age too.It is a very economical place to stay. The mattress is considered a large bed and is comfortable to sleep on.The owner in charge is a person who is friendly to guests.If you're not into fancy things, here you'll save a lot of money and have easy access to the city. There is a nice view of the reservoir and the beautiful park in the background.Personally, I like the old wooden balcony on the upper floor with enough seats for guests. There is a relaxing corner to sit and admire the view and feel the cool air well.

Did not stay at this location, but had a loverly meal, and a couple of drinks. Excellent value for money. The lake has been drained just mud which is a great shame ( doing work on it).

If you want something down-to-earth and very simple, but in a great location, then this is a good choice. A little patina and worn out, but clean and functional. The boss is great and speaks English very well. I was satisfied

Amazing view, bargain price, nice and clean, big room, nice owner, great location. The price is in the hundreds, the view is in the millions. The room is very big, clean, the owner is cute, sleeps comfortably, a classic old wooden house. Recommended. Usually only foreigners come to stay here.

Worst hotel in all of Thailand. Mold on the corner, tons of cockroaches in the room and throughout the “hostel” and we were still wondering why we were the only guests. The highlight was a huge spider, a small snake, cockroaches, ants and geckos in our room. Beds were catastrophically dirty and very hard. You couldn't enjoy the view of the lake for long because there were just too many mosquitoes. The woman at the hostel initially sold us breakfast as free, but later deducted everything - very rude. The whole hostel seems run down and I wouldn't go there again.

The best place for 300 bath...nice Family ..best view of the wat and the lake...rooms are ok...I recommend ..breakfast with a real good coffee..close to everything....thanks for our great stay...helping people...
