Vibe: Excellent. Very traditional with yukata provided for Japanese experiences. Ladies have a lot of different designs to choose from.Onsen: available for both public and private options. The private onsen on third floor (lobby) can be reserved and we can collect the key at the lobby. There are 2 others pruvate onsen on rooftop which is first-come-first-serve basis. But the location is not as crowded as Hakone or Odawara so there should be no problem using one.Food: Food is served in-room for both dinner and breakfast.For dinner, it may take up to two and half hours to finish the course. Very traditional and cooked fresh for each meal. Very delicious.Service: The staffs were very attentive and polite. There are some barrier languages as the hotel is quite local. However, they do have translation devices to help with communication.Transportation: The hotel is 7 minutes drive from Yugawara Station. Recommended using Taxi for convenient.

Visited on a whim.The entrance to the parking lot is quite sloped, so I don't think sports cars will be able to enter. I looked it up on Google Maps and had no choice but to go there by SUV.As for the inn, the public bath was clean and spacious, and the hospitality was great.In terms of absolute value, it was a good inn, but if you ask me if it's worth the price, I can't say enough about the quality of the food and rooms.Especially when it comes to food, it can't be helped because it's in the countryside, but you're still paying for it.

I stayed at Yugawara Onsen Fukiya on a certain day in May 2024.Famous hot spring resorts such as Atami and Hakone are thought to be crowded with tourists and foreigners, but unlike these hot spring resorts, Yugawara is a quiet town with not many foot traffic. I got the impression that the customer base was mostly elderly people. I felt that it was a good place to enjoy the time and hot springs quietly and slowly.Among the many inns in such hot spring areas, Fukiya-san was the one that satisfied me in every way.I was very satisfied with the hot springs, food, and room. The staff at the inn were also kind.If I were to go to Yugawara again, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I suddenly decided to make a reservation for the next day. This hot spring inn is located on a slightly higher hill in Yugawara, and although I initially missed the inn's signboard and walked past it, I was able to arrive safely. The room I booked is a standard room, and although it is not luxurious, it is well-equipped and carefully appointed, giving me a good impression. Although the indoor bath in the guest room is not a hot spring, it is a small bathroom with a scent of wood. However, there were three hot springs that we could use freely, so we ended up not using the indoor bath in our guest room. The meals were kaiseki cuisine for dinner and Japanese food for breakfast, and I was satisfied with the seasoning and presentation for the first time in a long time. The Nakai's friendly and non-intrusive response was also very nice. Thank you very much for giving me an unexpected souvenir on my way home.

Truly enjoyed our stay here albeit slightly far from the station, traveling from Tokyo. Attention to design details here is one of the best amongst the ryokans we have stayed in at. Food quality is really amazing, Michelin star level. However, they are quite understaffed so it could get quite slow.. Finished dishes were not taken away and spilled water were not wiped off. There was only 1 staff serving the whole group which was amazing but it will be nicer to have 1 or 2 more staffs helping.Worth it ryokan experience.

Beautiful onsen, about an hour by train from Shinogawa. We got room 201 when the cherry trees were at peak - Amazing! Great kaisecki dinner.

It was the best hospitality! After your bath, you can have beer or bean paste and tea brought to you. Comes with a charger. And, just because I told him that my birthday was coming up, I had him prepare a celebratory bowl and sekihan at short notice. The nori rolls for dinner were also delicious. Everything was perfect. Of course the bath is the best. thank you!

Good hospitality! It's a very comfortable hotel!You don't have to make a reservation for the private bath, so you can feel free to use it! There's a sign on the elevator to see if it's empty, so it's easy to tell!The rice is also very delicious and satisfying. All dinners are delicious and go well with beer. The beer glass is a thin glass and is good for drinking. It was nice to have a variety of sake choko to choose from. For breakfast, you can eat grilled seaweed. The open horse mackerel was also delicious.The handle of the toothbrush is made of bamboo and is very comfortable to brush!

This inn is truly amazing!I may have stayed there on a weekday, but I was able to use the private bath several times on a first-come, first-served basis.It's very good hot water.You can tell if there are customers ahead of you by looking at the elevator lights, so you don't get nervous. It's very easy to understand.During that time, you can use the large public bath on the first floor.And the food is very delicious!The soup stock is flavorful and the sashimi is fresh. What more could you want?The Nakai-san's service is also perfect, as it doesn't leave you unattended.I think this is the perfect inn to heal your daily fatigue.

Sorry for the old story. That was about ten years ago. I used it twice when I was in Tokyo. Before that, my family and I often visited various hot springs. He visited Kamenoi Besso in Yufuin, Sumiya Ryokan in Kyoto, and famous inns. After that, I rarely went to hot spring inns. From what I remember from those days, this is the first hot spring inn I want to visit again.

It's wonderful to see the owner's passion for each item.Most of the chairs in the museum are made in Denmark from the 1950s, and some of them are worthy of being in a museum.The tableware was also made specifically for this inn, and the cosmetics are also original to the inn.The food is also super delicious.There are 3 private open-air baths and a sauna.There are also karaoke rooms of various sizes.The best room with a garden had the best value for money.

When you pass through the Mai noren curtain hanging at the entrance, you will see icicles on top of green bamboo, giving you a cool feeling. As I entered my room from the simple lobby, I was relieved to find dignified fresh flowers and a table seat (as I didn't want a low table) as per my request. There are large baths and several private baths, all of which are clean and have an abundant amount of hot water. You can feel the attention to detail down to the towels and amenities. Dinner was a feast for the eyes with 11 kinds of kaiseki cuisine, and the taste felt Kyoto-style (perhaps my personal taste) with seasonal ingredients such as hamo, eel, and cutlass fish, all served in wonderful bowls, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The amount is a little large. Using old things and wisdom, new things and consideration for the environment, and matching them skillfully and without any harshness.As a side note, I was surprised to find that the fans in the rooms and bathrooms were Nara fans made by Ikedado, a famous Nara product (handmade luxury items).I would like to visit this hotel again in the near future, and I would like to be welcomed by its clean curtains. Worth a look, the quality exceeds the price. For adults.

This was our second stay at Fukiya and both times we visited we were treated so well even though we don't speak Japanese. From the front desk staff to our personal room attendant everyone was so kind and welcoming. The rooms are immaculate with everything very clean and well maintained. The kaiseki is quite the experience and I recommend that you do not eat beforehand as they are very generous with the servings so you will be full by the end! All of the hot tubs are luxurious and it's great to take a bath outdoors with a wonderful view of the nearby mountains. We also lucked out and saw wild monkeys on our last visit (from a safe distance). Highly recommend visiting Fukiya to try a traditional ryokan and onsen!
