The ryokan is quite remote, which makes it easy to relax. Apart from the in-house restaurant, there is only one option to dine nearby and that only until 8:00 p.m. at the latest. The rooms are very clean and old style. This gives the room a very authentic character and with the scented wood you can relax even more. The service at reception was very good, but unfortunately I have to say that that's where it ends. The rooms were not cleaned and only fresh linens, water and toothbrushes were placed in the entrance area of the room. You had to make the beds yourself and clean them if necessary. What speaks for the service is the shuttle that they offered us when we left because our taxi would only have arrived after 40 minutes.

I searched for a nearby accommodation just for Mt. Omuro, but it was closed the next day due to strong winds. Transportation and WiFi are poor, and the food is mediocre despite the fact that accommodation costs are not cheap. The open-air bath is a family bath and is first come first served. Meals are served in your room, so you have to lay out your own futon. The service was polite and the semi-open-air bath in the room was good.

``Non-smoking room'' Japanese style room with 8 tatami mats + front room with open-air bath. Book with in-room meals. I used Manzaburo (206). The room was well-cleaned, but it felt old. There is a gap between the front room and the sliding door. Also, the door to the toilet did not close properly. I feel like there's a little distortion. It was listed as an open-air bath, but rather than an open-air bath, it was more like a semi-open-air bath with the windows fully open. However, if you open the window fully, you can see from other rooms, so you have no choice but to close the window while taking a bath. It felt a little hot, but it was nice to be able to take a bath at any time.Meals were served in the room and were very delicious. I had sashimi of a fish called plum color. This is the first time I've heard the name of this fish, and it seems to be a rare fish that is rarely caught. For dinner, rather than putting all the food together on the desk, the waiter will deliver each dish to your room at the right time.We received an explanation of each dish. You have to raise and lower the futon yourself, so it was a little difficult to have to raise the futon before breakfast. There is a private bath on the rooftop of the hotel, and I made a reservation at check-in, but I think the view is better during daylight hours. Since we made a reservation at night, we could see some of the lights of Oshima.

This was my first trip with my kids and I went to this open-air restaurant in the guest room.It was quiet and very relaxing, we had baby bottles, and we had a futon for the kids, so we had a very relaxing time! When your child takes a bath, the water is hot, so I think it would be more convenient to call them to ask them to lower the temperature, and if possible, rent a bathtub.

It's a quiet and hidden inn that lives up to its name.I think the building is old, but it's kept very clean so it doesn't bother me at all. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious and the portions are plentiful. This is an inn that I would recommend to my friends.

This is an inn that fits the description of ``an elegant hot spring hotel.''The view from the bath in both the room bath and the family bath that is open by the hour is very beautiful. The breakfast and dinner dishes are all so delicious that even people who don't usually eat a lot will want to order a second helping of rice.If you go to Izu Kogen, please try staying there.

The inside of the building was small and strange. The open-air bath was so hot that I couldn't take a bath.
