Really old hotel, beds really old and not comfortable. Price paid doesn’t match the facilities.

I've never stayed there, but I come here to take a bath on my way back from the mountain. It's a little far from the bus stop and Kappabashi, but it's larger than the Konishidaira hot springs, so you can take your time.

There is a free footbath, you can also eat, and you can also take a hot spring bath before 2 p.m., which is a good rest break.

When you go there, it's nice to get off at Taisho Pond and walk instead of taking the bus to Kamikochi Bus Terminal. It's a good idea to leave your luggage at the hotel and go for a walk around Kappa Bridge. All the hot water in the hotel seems to be hot springs. It was a fun stay with a slide show in the evening and a guided tour in the morning. The hot springs switch places between men and women at 8:00 pm, so it's great to bathe in different hot springs twice on the day you arrive. In front of the hotel is Mt. Kasumi, and the clouds rising in the morning were beautiful. At night, the starry sky shines down.It was quiet because it was far from the center. It's about 1 km to Kappa Bridge, but it's a short walk if you walk along the Azusa River. The room was retro, but I was able to relax.

I did not stay. But only stopped in for lunch and to use the day use onsen after returning to Kamikochi from a long hike. The service was excellent. The “Hamburger Curry” reasonably priced and delicious. The bath and bathing area clean and well maintained.

After a day of climbing/walking in the mountains, soaking in a hot spring and having dinner will completely recharge your batteries. To get there, get off at Kamikochi Imperial Hotel and walk straight on the road to the left of the Imperial Hotel. After crossing the bridge, walk on the concrete road on the right for a while and you will arrive. On the way back, you can walk directly to the Imperial Hotel stop, but if the bus is full at the starting point of Kappa Bridge, it will not stop and go up, so you can consider walking 20 to 30 minutes to the terminal of Kappa Bridge (next to Imperial Hotel) There is a way that is easier to walk, if you are dragging your suitcase)The hotel will be closed at night. If you want to take a morning walk, you can inform the hotel staff in advance. If there is no notice, you can also open the door on the right side of the hotel, but be careful. There seem to be a lot of bears these days. There is no air-conditioning in the room, which relies on water circulation, but it is still very cool, even a bit cold.
