Very satisfactory rooms and service. The service is really, really great! The food was generally satisfactory, and the Hida beef was delicious, but the miso-based pike and mushrooms served on Hakuba leaves and the miso-based tofu fried on Hakuba leaves for breakfast were really good. However, I thought that the desserts for both dinner and breakfast were a bit ordinary, which was disappointing. And I had no idea about gero beer, but it was very delicious.

This was the best inn I've ever been to.The view from your room, the food, the hot springs, and the hospitality.I don't know how many more trips I'll be able to take with my parents, but my whole family was very happy to be able to stay at a ryokan like this.thank you very much.

It took about 2 and a half hours from Nagoya on the lower road. I have been to Gero Onsen many times, but this was my first time staying at a hotel. I was a little surprised when Nakai-san sat straight and greeted us with four people bowing at the entrance. The building itself is a little old, but it has been thoroughly cleaned and the interior is carefully crafted in the style of a sukiya-style restaurant. The open-air bath in the guest room was comfortable, and I was able to take a relaxing soak in the hot springs in the large public bath. The rooms are full and popular. The service was also good. The rice was Japanese food, but it was well seasoned and very delicious.I plan to repeat2024/8/31Unfortunately due to the typhoon, we arrived with some worries.Apparently there were 12 cancellations. It was empty and in a sense reserved.Delicious food and hot springs with a beautiful viewI had a comfortable timeI'll come again next year

This was my first time going to Gero Onsen, and I was very grateful to Mr. Shogetsu for his help.We received very nice hospitality. The food was delicious, and the inn was very quiet and relaxing.I went to take a bath about three times, and each time I was able to relax and have a private bath without anyone coming. The hot spring water has a slightly thick consistency that will leave your skin smooth.Shogetsu's main building? I asked about taking a bath in the hot springs, but there was a huge bee in the open-air bath that was attached to the door to go inside.I was the only one there, so I had to fight the bees while taking a bath. I'm so tired lolAlthough there were some minor incidents like that, I think it is a truly wonderful inn.I hope that the wonderful old Japanese inns will continue to exist.
