Staying here for the second time, this is a very humane hotel. You can see the care taken from the rooms to the public spaces. When we came down from the mountain, we were clammy and cold. The boss lady reminded us that we can put our clothes in a simple drying room. During the break, the boss even handed us a special deformable name tag.The room is very clean. There are microwaves, ovens, refrigerators, hot and cold drinks, and massage chairs in the public area. They are fully equipped and highly recommended.

Although it looks ordinary, the owner of this place is genuinely friendly and nice. Be it the food, the location to sleep or overall check in/out service, it is truly mind blowing. The best takeaway there is the PRIVATE onsen with extremely good hygiene and lots of space to just relax and wash away the burnout. This place is definitely underrated.

Stayed here for day tripping in Kamikochi, perfect location. Clever self-check-in system, with a video to help and even tablets and printouts of FAQs to assist those of us who can't speak Japanese, they've really thought of everything, very thoughtful! Also very friendly and patient when we did cross paths with them. There's a massage chair which really gets into the muscles after a long day walking, free. And the private onsens were perfect, just go in and lock the door, robes and towels provided. The 2 inside are very hot so you won't stay in long and therefore won't have to wait long either. 1 outside which is cooler, but we always managed to get in. Tea, coffee, and a small bread roll or slice with jam available for breakfast was a nice snack. Loved the stained glass of each room name's flowers too. Just a really thoughtful place.

We’d definitely come back here again and again!Smart self check-in system, cozy tatami room, first come first serve private onsens, tea/coffee(+espresso!) and pastries service, and lovely stained glasses! You’d have a great experience there for sure!Highly recommend for grownups. Since the building itself is a bit old, so might need to be respectful or patient to the other guests.
