We had the most lovely stay at Yamagaso! The service here is unmatched! Our attendant, Kimiko made us feel right at home! She was kind, polite and the most lovely person. We can’t say enough good things about her. …

Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. but we arrived at 2:00 p.m. They gave us the option to store our bags at the hotel next door. The incredible rooms. Very traditional style, well equipped with pajamas and towels, among others. The gardens and onsen are beautiful, and the family onsen is spectacular. The service was very attentive at all times, they even offered us a traditional tea as soon as we arrived. They have a free bus that transports you from the hotel to the train station. The only drawback is the restaurant service, with little variety of dishes and a not very spectacular included breakfast. We would be happy to repeat the experience.

I highly recommend it if you want to experience fantastic kaiseki and Japanese tradition!!I came here with great hospitality. The host is so kind~~I can communicate well in English to some extent.I don't know what to do with the wonderful treatment haha.I feel like I'm staying at my grandmother's house~~I'm going to go again with my parents. The food tastes really good. In addition to the bath in the room, there are three hot springs in total: a private family hot spring, an open-air hot spring, and a public hot spring. You must enjoy them diligently.Totally recommended🩷🩷

Our room looked out onto a beautiful Japanese garden and was incredibly large. The hotel is located in a natural mountain environment, next to a river, 10 minutes from the train station. …
