We had several issues on check in with the hotel and asked the manager to come and speak with us. He came to the room, politely listened and said there was nothing he was willing to do.We were there in the heat wave of Sept 24. our room was excessively hot. The thermostat would not go below 19, even though the room was way above that. I politely asked at the front desk if there were any way to drop it a few degrees. I was told it is centrally controlled and nothing we could do.I have been to Japan and have never had an issue that couldn't be solved and that the everyone was interested in helping in some way. This place was a first. The physical plant was not bad, the rooms and bath were fine, other than far too hot.No one at the hotel cared or even pretended to care.I would recommend avoiding this hotel like the plague.GL

We were given a tiny room at the end of the corridor on the first floor. The room was not representative of what was shown in the photos they provide. …

I am extremely disappointed and angry with the service at this hotel. My pajamas, which were taken by the staff, were not only very expensive but also a priceless gift from my mother. This holds great sentimental value for me. Additionally, taking away a personal and intimate item like this is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I expect better treatment and a sense of security for my belongings, especially something so personal. This experience has completely ruined my stay.

The hotel was located in a very convenient spot close to Kyoto station and subway Karasuma line Kujo station. The security system is up notch with a friendly staff. They offer breakfast service with additional fee and have public hot bath which we never tried because there wasn’t a private one but we heard it was good and clean. Overall it’s a good hotel for your stay in Kyoto with a reasonable price.

Fits almost every criteria of a good hotel. The rooms are great, the location is great and the items they provide are really cool.To explain in more detail, the rooms are 3 beds (may depend on booking) and offer a lot of space to walk and sit otherwise. The A/C and lights are controlled by a screen on the bed side of the room. The toilet is operated by a side panel with flush buttons on the top and it has a tap in the same room. The bathroom is a shower-bath design, however they use a shower curtain which is always beyond annoying. In terms of location, it's located really close to a 7-eleven and a multitude of restaurants. As well as being close to a train station, it makes the location of this hotel spectacular. Now onto miscellaneous things to note:The public hot baths of this hotel are free.1 free ice cream per person per day at a small freezer next to the elevators floor 1Massage chairs floor 1Ice machine and water refill floor 1Drink and ice cream vending machines floor 1Coin laundry floor 1. It's really crowded and you should get there asap. 3 machines for nearly 400 rooms guarantees struggleLots of manga on the bookshelf for communal borrowing floor 1Breakfast (not free) 7-10 floor 1Amenities items for free at floor 1All put together, it's clear that this place fits the criteria for an amazing hotel. I highly recommend staying here if you are to visit Kyoto

Bad review mainly on the people in the hotel. Placed a bag of trash on top of the room trash can cause it did not fit and came back to find not only not taken away, but placed on top of my luggage. I can understand if you don't want the liability of accidentally throwing stuff away by accident, but you can put it on the floor or the table. In addition, when we went down to check out the breakfast, the people there did not comprehend what I was saying. I was using Google Translate and everything trying to get my point across, but it was like talking to a wall. Staff here needs to improve.
