I was in Tanakaya hotel in June with my family a group of 10 people. The host was super helpful and friendly with assisting our requests. The hotel is spacious with nice amenities around the corner. Highly recommended for travellers with kids or even elders! 10/10 for them!

We stayed in this hotel with our children on 2/10.The moment I stepped in the door, I felt really good. The room was comfortable, warm and clean.And it’s very Kyoto style.Although the space inside is not very large,But it’s really enough for four people.And everything is available, including microwaves, kettles, and induction cookers. All facilities are complete.Even the WIFI is only for your use in this room and is independent.It is not shared by the whole building, so the signal is very good👍What also surprised us was that the bed was really good for sleeping.It is fluffy, soft and very comfortable. Whether it is a bed on tatami or a single bed, it is fluffy, soft and very comfortable. Our family of four sleeps like pigs every night🤣There is also a smoking room in the lobby downstairs.And there is an elevator to take when you want to go up to your room.To be honest, it is very convenient.The boss is also very nice, although he doesn’t speak Chinese.But we will still try our best to communicate with us using translation software.Even when I asked the boss to help me send my luggage, he was willing to help. It really feels like home here.All services are in place,In terms of transportation, the hotel is relatively close to Gojo Karasuma (Kyoto Municipal), only a few minutes away~I plan to stay here again next time I go to Kyoto✌️

I used it as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. My boyfriend was very happy with the idea of the design, including the color of the balloons. I was able to enjoy in-room meals and cake in the Japanese-style room at the back of the room, and I had a very relaxing time. I booked the Sakura room, and the bed throws, cushions, transom, Shigaraki ware bathtub, and tableware were all decorated in pink and cherry blossom patterns, and it was a feast for the eyes. This is a beautiful room where you can feel the attention to detail in each and every detail of the interior. The herbal bath salts that were left in the room improved blood circulation and warmed the body, and I was surprised to find that my hands were so smooth after massaging the herbal medicine in the bag.The bed cushions and pillows were very soft, and before I knew it I was falling asleep comfortably.The customer service was also very comfortable and kind.It was a nice hotel where you could relax, rest your mind and body, and feel the Japanese atmosphere after sightseeing in Kyoto.We also highly recommend using it for celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries!

The hotel is fabulous, it makes you experience the best of traditional Japan. It is located in the center, it is very comfortable and has very comfortable and very kid-friendly rooms.The owners and employees are great, they are very attentive all the time, they make great recommendations, reservations for dinner, taxis, etc. and they strive to show the best of Japanese hospitality. This is the second hotel I visited during my trip^^Both owners are really friendly. There was a rainy day when I was staying, but they lent me an umbrella for free and a hair dryer that made my hair soft and calm, so I used it well^^Plus, the accommodation was really beautiful and spacious enough for 4 people to stay. I can't capture it in a photo.At first, I thought sleeping with a blanket would be uncomfortable, but once I put it on, it was so soft and nice that all the kids wanted to sleep in the tatami room.It was late on the day I arrived at the accommodation, so I brought some yakisoba to go, and I was very grateful and happy for the owner's thoughtful consideration, such as lending us plates for the children.There was an izakaya nearby that was open until 3 a.m., so I put the kids to bed and went there^0^I felt reassured because the male owner was always on the first floor at night.Thank you so much for always welcoming me in a pleasant and cheerful way until I leave. I want to come again next October with my mother.

Absolutely loved staying here the rooms were beautifully presented and very comfortable.Bath was fantastic.Very modern with a touch of tradition the kids loved sleeping on the futons.My wife loved having tea in on the Tanami matt's.The owners and staff were very helpful and spent time with the kids teaching them origami.Not just a motel but a experience not to be missed.Worth a trip to Kyoto

I stayed there the other day. Everything in the room was sophisticated and wonderful, from corner to corner!The Nishijin-ori cushions, which were based on autumn leaves, were also very cute and lovely. I also really liked that the accessories were all colored red to match the autumn leaves.The rental speakers were also a great success.I would like to stay there again someday. thank you very much.

Excellent service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are offering alot of amenities. Cleanest room. The room is very relaxing, you can enjoy delicious tea and coffee on the tatami room. The bathtub is a joy after a long day of exploring Kyoto. Thank you for accommodating us.

I used it with my lover. He liked it so much that he said he would like to introduce it to someone.I think it is recommended for couples and married couples.I was very happy to be able to borrow an aroma diffuser and a Nanocare hair dryer.I chose three scents that I liked and prepared them.The rooms are spacious and calm, and it seems like they have paid particular attention to details such as the bathroom and decoration. The cups in the room were cute, and the sweets and tea were delicious.Also, I don't usually drink coffee, but they gave me coffee beans as a service! It was fun to have a bean pulling machine and everything needed for pouring in the room!The breakfast bento box was quite voluminous and looked very beautiful and delicious.When we told both of us that we were sightseeing and weren't sure where to go, the host of the inn recommended some places, gave us detailed explanations, and was full of hospitality, so we felt that this inn was the right choice for us.
