Experience was really good, it’s a very traditional hotel with amazing private onsen. View was spectacular! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, worth to go with time so you can enjoy everything that they offer! Good place to rest and enjoy silence. Have some convenience stores around if needed. Inside the hotel there is also a store to buy some local souvenirs.

Conveniently located next to the airport, this hotel has it all. From onsens to delicious breakfast and dinner buffets, it's a wonderfully peaceful resort. The views are amazing next to the ocean and it's so relaxing there.Make sure to go to the convenience store and get the hokkaido soft server. It's amazing!!The service is amazing and they're so friendly. Their english is not the best but it's good enough. The rooms itself are very well equipped and luxurious. The beds are placed for you during the dinner service and put away while you have breakfast.

This was the worst hotel we stayed at in all of Japan over many many trips. The room is way over priced. The condition of the room is poor. The bathroom is tiny and poorly designed. The onsen experience not good at all. If you are a foreigner, avoid this hotel and go somewhere else. They do not hospitable at all.

Lovely stay. The locaiton is great, right off the water. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit old but still quite charming and the rooms with the attached outdoor bath are fantastic for relaxing with a nice view. Food is buffet so less intimate than a ryokan but pretty good; while billed a seafood buffet the non-seafood items (pork and duck especially) were very tasty. Would like to go back when it is a bit colder so can enjoy watching the snow in the outdoor bath.

I dont think this hotel has a reasonable rate. Among of the hotel that we stayed at this is very expensive hotel that we stayed at. Rooms are small for 4 people. For 3 adults and 1 kid. Its not worth it.

I had a very good experience at this hotel. The room is spacious and clean, with an indoor private hot spring. Outside the window is the beautiful sea. I can enjoy the sea view while soaking in the hot springs. The hotel restaurant has rich, fresh and delicious dishes.

Definitely one of the prettiest hotel you've ever stayed in your life. The view is magnificent and I cannot even explain in words how tranquil and peaceful waking up and sleeping with the view. You can basically see the view everywhere you go, from the onzens to meals and the rooms. The staffs are very friendly and professional, making you feel like home. The only thing that's taking a star away from this experience will be the quality of food. It is pretty average compared to everything else here. I will still come again for the view and recommend everyone to come experience the beauty of the scenery.

If you can afford it, consider staying at this hotel. We splurged on a washitsu (Japanese style) suite with "in room" rotenburo (outdoor bath). It was expensive, but we probably won't be back to Hakodate for at least 5 or 6 years, if ever. So, worth the money, for two reasons:1) the rotenburo with a view of the ocean2) the buffet breakfast and dinner. This is where a big part of the expense comes from, as it is built into the price of the room.Aside from the rotenburo, the suite was two tatami rooms (and bathroom, shower, etc.). One had two chairs facing the ocean. The other had the traditional short table. No beds - the staff come in while you are at dinner and put out the futons for sleeping. They clean up the next day (don't remember if it was while we were at breakfast, but it might have been). The hotel does have smaller, less expensive rooms, and they do have men's and women's communal baths, so you don't have to splurge on a rotenburo room. The food was incredible. I'm usually not a huge fan of any buffet, but Japanese ones are okay and the breakfast and dinner here were excellent. Each meal has one set item and then you supplement it with whatever you want from the buffet. Our dinner included grilled fish the first night and a small sukiyaki the second night. Both were excellent. Drinks aside from water, juice, or coffee are extra, though. The one downside is that the hotel is a little ways from the station - and pretty much all the sightseeing stuff is best gotten to from the station. The taxi from the station to the hotel was about 2,000 yen if I recall correctly.
