This hotel is comfort and is not the style of new innovative furnished hotel but it’s atmosphere is warm. I stayed in this hotel alone in a single size room with washroom, this was what I chosen when I booked the hotel. I was not stay in “Ren”building. I recommend you reserve the free pick up bus 2-3 days in advance if you are sure you will stay there, because they may have full booking. The open air bath, onsen, is great with a great river view. The atmosphere in restaurant is great too, families and everyone is enjoying in a public area. The improvement is the hotel is not warm enough that I visited on Feb and outside temperature is -2 degrees. The staff can improve the temperature in reception area and the corridor to the restaurant area.

One of the reasonable places around. It has family bath as rotenburo. The view is awesome. Best season is either fall or sakura season. The hotel has relaxation center, resting rooms, outside free foot bath, children game area (suitable for 1-5 years) etc. You can spend some time either before or after the onsen. The water was about 42 degree in February although it was outside. The family pool is big enough for a family with two children. You pay for the room and per person separately. Check the price list.

It was a really relaxing and peaceful experience. The breakfast and dinner was superb! What I didn't like was the modern game center and UFO catchers. It got you distracted from the old Japanese feeling. And what about the random party decorations? And Christmas decorations in May?But if you can disregard that, it is a great place to recharge your batteries.I highly recommend it!

One of my favorite hot spring places in Japan. Go overnight or just for an hour, either way, you can't go wrong. If you have tattoos, the private onsen room is available as well. Their shuttle bus or one from Sendai is an option. Either way, this is a great option too enjoy a great Japanese tradition.

The Japanese style room is too small. The receptionists hardly speak English. We paid over $60 for the taxi and the driver could not find the hotel. We realized they have free shuttles next day. Too far away from Sendai train station.

The location is a little hard to find as it's tucked away, but the beautiful views make it completely worth it. Having stayed at a couple of the different Akiu Onsen hotels, this place has had the best food and baths. They even had yukata for larger folk like myself, which I have only seen at 3 of the many other hot springs I've been to. Hope to return sometime.

Fantastic onsen and venue. Book a private onsen with a loved one and enjoy the natural hot springs and river flowing by. Then go to the curry buffet for a delicious meal
