Unfortunately I can't give it 3 stars.I stayed here for one night with two friends.Good points:・The open-air bath (no reservations required, you can enter if it's available) is the best.・In the mountains, it's very quiet and the air is delicious.Unfortunately:・The meal was "Japanese French", and honestly it wasn't delicious. I felt that there was no compatibility with the quaint inn.・It's fine that the room is old, but I was concerned about the smell (as mentioned in other reviews). My Japanese-style room doesn't have the nice smell of tatami mats, but rather smells of humidity and mold.I'm really disappointed, but I didn't want to come again. If you stay overnight without meals, eat separately, and only take a bath in the hot springs, it may be a good value for your money.

The atmosphere is very good. What's the atmosphere like? . .First, we were guided by a man at the reception wearing glasses, but even though we could only walk slowly due to children and luggage, he kept getting ahead of us, and when he realized we were late, he looked dissatisfied. to do.I was shown to my room, but it smelled really musty and damp. It was the worst because I had a baby with me.The food I ordered never came. There is hair and trash left in the private bath from the previous person.I didn't just enjoy the inn slowly, I had a completely relaxing time.I won't go there again (^^)

The room smelled of mold and was stinking, which was the worst😭``The smell is unbearable,'' I told the front desk, but they said, ``We can't change the room because it's full.Everything on the first floor is the same.''😭There was only a bath towel in the room, and when I asked for a face towel, they said, "We don't have one."When I asked for drinking water, she said, "Please use the water from the toilet."It was an inn where there was no “mo” in the word “hospitality”.Guests should use a mold killer to get rid of the mold 😭I don't want to stay there again and I want a refund of 20,000 yen per person.

I stayed for 2 nights with my family of 4 and my mother in August 2024. Although the facility is old, it was carefully cleaned. The employees were also polite. The indoor bath was wonderful. Although I am adding water, it will overflow in just a few tens of seconds due to the complete overflow. I think the gushing amount itself was listed as less than 100L per minute. Rich in sodium bicarbonate and metasilicic acid, it makes your skin smooth. And the water is extremely cold. It was the coldest water I've ever had in my life. If you take a slow soak in the hot water to warm up and then take a shower, your skin will tighten and sweat will completely disappear. And it's so cool that you don't need an air conditioner at all!It would have been nice if they could have put a little more effort into the cooking, but I felt at home.I would like to visit again!

I don't think there are any accommodations/hotels with such good cost performance in Karuizawa. There is nothing around the hotel, but you can relax there.Personally, I really liked the hot springs. The outside air was moderately cold, so I was able to soak in the thick hot springs for an eternity. The rice overall felt a little strong in flavor.

Go into the mountain and tell them that you don’t have to pay the mountain fee if you stay here!Quaint but the room has been renovated! The hot springs are natural and unfiltered and there are Yunohana! A very comfortable hotel in the mountains and forests.
