It can't be helped that the building is old, but cleaning and repairs have not been done enough and the whole building is filthy. Go up the stairs from outside and the second floor is the entrance. The place I entered was a dining room.The wallpaper in the room on the third floor was dingy and some of it was peeling off. The bed I used was covered with sheets. There were other beds, but the futons and mattresses were old and dirty. The comforter was thin. The room was heated by a high-output oil fan heater, so I didn't feel cold.The rooms are basically on the 3rd floor. The toilet, bath, and washroom were on the second floor. There is a drying room on the first floor. The bath was especially bad. I went in on the first day, but the bathtub was very small. The shower did not have very warm water. Part of the washing area was sunken and water was collecting. The hot water pipe in the sink is exposed. It's dirty because it hasn't been cleaned enough. The toilet had been renovated and was clean.The food was standard Japanese food, not luxurious, but the overall taste was good. As was the case at other hotels, it is not good to have cold fried food even though the dinner time is specified. It seems to be run by an elderly couple and their daughter. Their personalities were good and I didn't feel bad about them.The main entrance on the second floor has two doors. There was a desk and a chair in the space between them, so you could smoke a cigarette. There were people smoking while carrying the luggage, and it was very smelly.Heating costs are 500 yen per person per night. The first night is 6,300 yen without meals. Including heating costs, it costs 6,800 yen. I have to say that the cost performance is poor compared to other hotels I stayed at this season.This is especially not recommended for those who are looking for cleanliness in their accommodation.

A very warm place. Very welcoming hosts who listen to the customer, and above all, truly delicious cuisine. I highly recommend this hostel.I would happily return on my next Japanese trip.
