This hostel was recommended to me by a fellow traveller staying at a guesthouse in Chiang Rai, and it was the place that made my long stay the best memory. The staff and the owner were very kind and the guests were all nice, so every day was wonderful and comfortable. If you are a smoker I would strongly recommend as a good place definitelyMoreIf you like traveling alone and have a little courage, you will get along with the people staying at this hostel. This hostel has a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a kettle, cooking utensils, a gas stove, plates and cups. It's best to go to the local market, located right next to Chiang Mai Gate, early in the morning, as you can buy great Northern Thai local food and the black sticky rice that you can only find in Chiang Mai, ready to be cooked. The deli market offers a wide variety of local dishes that use spices in a wonderful way.Eating sweets and prepared foods purchased from the market at the hostel, visiting restaurants, getting up early in the morning to go to a temple and pray like the locals, and spending time at a meditation temple to reflect on yourself are all things that you should prioritize above all else.If you are in trouble, please ask the hostel staff or owner for recommendations on good restaurants and temples. The facilities are a bit old and not suitable for modern city dwellers. However, this is the ancient city of Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand, and it is wonderful that we are being accepted into the life of the good old Thai people.Come experience the faith, kindness and lifestyle of the people of Chiang Mai, a city of true spiritual richness?I stayed in the dormitory for one night and rented a private room on the upper floor, but it was so comfortable I wish I could have stayed longer❤️🙏🇹🇭This hostel has a cute cat 🐈If you love cats, it's a paradise where you can take a nap or watch the cats sleeping in the common areas at night. The hostel's Thai milk tea and coffee are also delicious, so please ask the reception staff to order them for you. The Thai milk tea is especially amazing 🙏❤️🇹🇭If you are staying for a long period of time, you can also borrow a refrigerator by asking the reception.Local markets, restaurants, juice stands, shops, truck stops, fruit shops, mobile noodle stalls, and even laundry shops are all within walking distance!

It's close to various tourist spots, and you can stay in a dormitory for about 200 baht if you apply through Agoda. Check-out is until 12:00 noon, so it is recommended for those who want to relax. You can use drinking water or instant coffee. There is no washing machine. Also, although it says that bicycles are available for rent, there is not, so you will need to rent them at a nearby shop. Dormitories have electrical outlets and fans.

For the price + location it is a humble and convenient location. I’ve know the family who runs this establishment and they are nice people. Very accommodating.Expat hub of international travelers means there always new people to meet. Everything is walking distance and it’s the best bang for buck for being within the city walls!

My house in Chiang Mai, an authentic hostel with a backpacker atmosphere, unbeatable location, right in the center, very close to everything and, above all, very quiet at night. Mod is great and his entire family that helps him is fantastic. Great cold teas and coffees, they have a kitchen if you want to cook something yourself and they even sell pizzas if you are tired of eating local food one day. Visit the old Giant a few meters from the new hostel and the truth is that it has maintained its essence.
