[Please note due to owner change]Please be careful as the owner has changed from an old lady to a temporary staffing company.(I haven't used it under the previous owner, but based on previous reviews, etc.) I think the service level has deteriorated significantly under the new owner. My husband and I stayed here for the purpose of getting a hot spring treatment, but the following things happened.1. The attitude of the employees, especially the young men and women, is particularly bad.・I left my work at the hotel unattended and went out drinking every night, but I returned home at around 1 a.m. in a state of drunkenness. A quarrel at the entrance. He repeatedly made extremely inappropriate comments that suggested a relationship between a man and a woman.-The quality of the food is poor. The shredded cabbage that came with it was dry and about half the volume of the fresh one. The same goes for ohitashi. Dryness to the point where the moisture in the mouth is taken away. The rice was dry, and it seemed like the newly cooked rice was added on top of the rice left in the bowl from the previous meal (although this may be a problem with the rice cooker's ability). Many of the side dishes seemed to have been made in advance, and the Chinese cabbage and cucumbers were spoiled and discolored. Also, it was cold overall. My wife's meal contained a female employee's long hair. The worst part is the smell of resin. The smell of cigarettes permeated the entire meal, as if they were smoking heavily in the kitchen.・My wife witnessed a male employee come out of the restroom and head toward the kitchen without washing his hands. Speechless.・Amenity replenishment and cleaning are also poor.Yukata, water, towels, toothbrushes, etc. may or may not be replenished.Dust accumulates in the hallways and stairs, and the bathroom smells like urine. There was blood stuck to the toilet bowl.・In Kusatsu, where the temperature reaches double digits below freezing, the heating in the common areas was turned off and the room temperature dropped to 0℃. It was getting unbearably cold, so I turned on the heater without permission (the employee had gone out drinking, so I had no choice), but the next morning they told me that they would charge me for fuel and turned it off.The heating temperature in the common areas is apparently set at 15℃. The corridors on the first and second floors are covered by a single stove, so it's cold. Of course it's cold.ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー2. The response after the fact was also terrible.A few days after I reported the above to the management company, another employee (a woman in her prime) came to talk to me, but the response there was also very questionable.I thought he came knocking on our guest room to say hello, but he kept leaning on the door frame and answering me with his mouth. Its contents are as follows.・The argument is that there is a manual for management, so there should be no fault. As if to say, ``There's no way one of my employees would do something like that!'' I doubt what the customer says.・When it comes to cooking, the attitude is that since the menu is prepared in advance, there shouldn't be any problems. It's like saying it's a matter of customer taste.・"I cook rice for every meal!"(It's even more of a concern if you're practicing hygiene that leaves freshly cooked rice dry...)・(Referring to the place where my husband and I live) ``It's warm at home in Hokkaido, right?'' (so it's no surprise that Kusatsu is cold). In addition, complaints like the one about the heating issue tend to be reconsidered if they have never been made before. He also emphasized that heating is expensive.(If you don't have enough money for your heating bill, you should just take the winter premium...)By the way, the outside temperature when this heating incident occurred was in the double digits below freezing. Hohoho....・He said that his employees have been doing this job for a long time, so there shouldn't be any problems. You can get a glimpse of his attitude that he doesn't seem to consider the situation described in 1. to be a problem.・They try to ask us for personal information that has nothing to do with this case, such as our hometown and occupation. What do you want to do...ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー3.EpilogueSince some of the employees were replaced by older women, the heating situation in the common areas has improved. However, the young employee did not come to greet me or explain things to me, and continued to work afterward, leaving me with a very bad impression. Also, after consulting with the management about the poor quality of the meals, they promised to treat part of the stay as a stay without meals and refund the difference, but I'm still worried about whether I'll actually receive a refund...( (I will add more on this matter later).ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーPlease note that what I have written here is true. However, it seems that this inn treats customer opinions as complaints and prioritizes employees' claims. To avoid making your days in Kusatsu unpleasant, I think you should be careful when choosing your accommodation.
