The owner and his wife are very kind. The restaurant, which was a few minutes walk from the inn, was right in front of the sea and had a great view, and we had a really fun night enjoying delicious home-cooked food and awamori. I had a lot of fun talking to the guests, the owner, and the locals over drinks. Although it was a short stay due to the weather, it was a good memory. I would love to go again!

2023.02I stayed for 2 nights with 3 meals included. The inn is about a 5-minute walk from the port to the center, and there are more than 10 prefabricated accommodation buildings lined up. There are only two beds inside, no chairs or tables. Of course, the bathroom and refrigerator are shared. There were chairs and tables in the common area, so we drank alcohol and read books there. Meals will be served at the dining building in the Umate area of the post office. It's probably right next to the owner's home. Homemade vegetables, fish we caught, and ducks we raised were served on the table. Everything was delicious. This dining building has terrace seating, and if the weather is nice, you can dine there. The view is spectacular, and you can clearly see Iriomote Island. Since no stores were open that day, it was a good idea to include three meals.I think it's okay if you're thinking of staying on a deserted island, but it's a facility that allows for a minimum amount of accommodation, so it's not a place where you're looking for comfort or service.

A guesthouse on Hatoma Island. For meals, it's about a 5 minute walk from where you're staying. It takes less than 2 hours to explore Hatoma Island on foot!I also enjoyed hearing the cries of various creatures including the green pigeon. The air conditioner and washing machine in Maitouze's room are available for a fee. There was no hair dryer or TV in the room, but it was enough space to relax and escape from daily life. The meals are cooked by Maitouze's wife.It was very delicious.Your heart will be healed as time passes slowly, so why not give it a try?

Stayed on July 7, 2020.The place to eat is a 5 minute walk from the cottage. Sunny days are great, but if it rains, you'll need an umbrella.I can't say that the cleaning and management are thorough. It's not dirty though. The cottage's conversation corner is outdoors, so there are mosquitoes. There was no mosquito coil available. There is a TV, but it doesn't work. It's hot because there's no wind.So I spent a lot of time at places where I could eat. There is no air conditioning in the dining area, but it is cool because of the beach breeze. There is a TV in the dining area. The food is small in quantity but delicious.
