After the previous inn collapsed and remained in ruins for a while, this inn was re-operated by Tabist. The exterior has a somewhat ruined appearance.Inconvenient location with only one train per hour. The inn's decoration and food have been refurbished just for its appearance. There's a cheap signboard that doesn't match the atmosphere of the inn, and the lobby looks like a hospital waiting room. For breakfast and dinner, there were no menus or explanations of the dishes, so I had no idea what was being served. Water, tea, rice, and miso soup are either self-service or brought to you, depending on the person. The food wasn't so good that I wanted to cancel on the same day. However, the amount is so large that the ingredients are wasted. The changing rooms at the hot springs have weak air conditioning and are hot. I couldn't have used a hair dryer. If you are on a special trip, I recommend paying a little more and returning home satisfied rather than staying at this hotel.

Dinner is bad. Everything was bad except for the sashimi. This is my first time staying at an inn like this. Especially the taste and taste of meat that advertises all-you-can-eat. It's almost a stirrup. The soup stock was not good overall. I was really disappointed because food is so important to me when I travel. The room and hot spring were nice, but I was disappointed that the check-in time was 3pm and the hot spring only started at 4pm.(Added on August 14th)I stayed for 2 nights, and the dinner on the second night was delicious. (Pork shabu-shabu) If you stay just for one night, will you end up with yesterday's beef shabu-shabu and other dishes that aren't delicious? If you plan to stay there in the future, please check before making a reservation. Breakfast was better on the first night.

Although it is a little outside of Kinugawa Onsen, it is a 3-4 minute walk from Shin-Fujiwara Station. There are no convenience stores, restaurants, or bars around the station, but the quiet environment makes it a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The inn itself is not particularly luxurious, but it is clean, the rooms are spacious, and best of all, if you stand on the balcony, you can enjoy a 180-degree view of the green mountains and the Kinugawa River, and you can hear the chirping of birds and the murmuring of the river. It was more than enough to relieve my daily fatigue. At the front desk there was a kind Japanese woman and a very hard-working Nepali man.The open-air bath is extremely comfortable, and this is a quiet inn with the best value for money.

Accommodation costs were relatively cheap for that time of year. They are trying to cut costs considerably. It is the extent to which it affects customers. There were no shower/toilet facilities in the room, and the refrigerator was dirty reddish-brown. Although the large public bath has a sign that says it is a continuous bath, the hot water was not flowing and I could not feel any water being poured even when I touched the bottom of the bath. There were no chairs in front of the mirror in the changing room, and if two people used the hair dryer at the same time, the breaker would trip. I couldn't even use the fan.Furthermore, the photos on the travel site and the food are very different.I was stunned.

Amazing view of the mountain and river next to the rooms. Comfortable and spacious room. Onsen is also great with indoor and outdoor pools. Cannot get better with the reasonable rate. Many details may be outdated/in need of service but do not take away from the incredible value.

As I am writing this while staying at the hotel, there were over 20 ladybugs and 5 stink bugs in my room, and they escaped onto the balcony. The water in the toilet won't stop. The front desk doesn't answer the phone (until 11pm), the name on the reservation is wrong, and the front desk receptionist only speaks broken Japanese. The open-air bath is out of order.I don't recommend it because there is nothing good about it. I gave it 5 stars thinking that if I gave it 5 stars, the post would not be deleted, but in reality it is not. (I edited the comment because the number of insects increased)

I used it for 2 nights in February. On the first night, we had breakfast and dinner, and the food was rich and delicious. All the staff were very friendly and took care of us in various ways.Although it is far from the center of Kinugawa, you can enjoy the tranquility accordingly. It was an inn that made me want to visit again☺️
