The hot spring is a slightly alkaline sodium/chloride spring with a source temperature of 93.5℃ and a pH of 8.46. Naturally flowing from the source, no water added, no heating. There is one bathtub for private use and one washing area. There is a certain amount of hot water input, and it is quite hot. It may be best to go in when the temperature has dropped, such as in the morning or at night.

Traditional Japanese guesthouse, very nice owners who are very helpful. Unfortunately, they hardly speak any English, but you can make yourself understood either with Google Translate or with your hands and feet. The ryokan is a bit old, but still very nice and good value for money. It is very well located between the train station and the onsen area

Classic Japanese inn. Could use some maintenance and upgrading but worth the stay for the experience and service.

Traditional ryokan where time has literally stood still. This is also reflected in the location, some parts could use a lick of paint or renovation. Nevertheless, we had a good experience. …

Unique experience & run by senior couple. Room is basic but the breakfast served is unexpected. Thanks to the owner & boss lady for the hospitality.

This ryokan is highly recommended!!! The rooms are very nice, traditional and comfortable. Even though it was very cold from the outside (it reached -2 when I stayed there), the room was very warm because there was a heater. This ryokan has a private onsen, hotel included, you only pay 150 yen/person for maintenance. I tried their breakfast and dinner, it was SO DELICIOUS! I think this food is very valuable❤️. This hotel is very close to the station, and the bus stop to Shiga Kogen/Snow Monkeys! the best part about this ryokan, the owner is very nice and welcomed me very well. I will go back there!
