Personally managed romantic hotel.Rooms attractive and well equipped, sparkling clean.Good selection at the breakfast buffet. Professional service.Unfortunately, the restaurant lags behind the good standard, there is a clear potential for improvement.

Food was like a senior's plate, if grilled then please, as it should be and you expect it. Overly seasoned!

We had booked a classic room number 26 for three nights. We checked in promptly at 3 p.m. and wanted to bring our luggage into the room. We had to discover that the door to the room was still open and the room was still the same as the previous one had left. Ok, then we went back down to the restaurant and waited until the chambermaids were ready. The rooms and the whole house are very clean and modernly furnished. Small drawback, the somewhat hard mattresses. The bathroom is comfortable, but also very small. The highlight was the balcony with a great view! Regarding the restaurant, it should be noted that there are no old German dishes on the menu, such as roulade with dumplings or goulash. One or two dishes could have been included in the menu. The day and evening menus were the same. Our nice waitress, Ms. Mertin, offered to serve us a cold plate for dinner, which we gratefully accepted. The breakfast was always a dream, everything your heart could desire. We were very satisfied with our stay in this beautiful hotel!

We felt completely at home. Great food, large selection. Staff always friendly. Cleanliness was great. Location was nice and quiet at the spa gardens, not far from the city and the Elbe. Highly recommended. Unfortunately no elevator.

As out-of-house guests twice, we can only say that the dinner is absolutely first class, as is the service. The ambience and view of the Werra Valley also deserve 5 stars. The reception anyway. We'll be back, definitely 👍
