We spent one night in this hotel due to travel needs. The property is located a few steps from the Hauptbahnhof tram, bus and train stop, ideal for those who need to travel early in the morning or late in the evening. The area is also full of restaurants, cafes, and various services. The staff was very kind to us, giving us the room even early. The property probably needs some maintenance touches but the room was still comfortable and we slept comfortably. We did not use breakfast. I would recommend changing the information signs in the rooms as they are only in German.

Simple hotel in a top location, very friendly staff, rich breakfast. Tiny bathroom, very narrow shower with a partially blocked shower head. Leaky windows, no soundproofing, so unfortunately loud.

Pro: in and of itself in a relatively good location, and rooms are clean and also relatively inexpensive, good WiFiNeutral: Breakfast buffet limited, staff tried hard, but sometimes overwhelmed (poorly instructed or newbies and problems with the German language)Unmodern hotel (but if you like it)Contra: one of the two windows could neither be opened nor closed and was therefore leaky, where cold air was constantly flowing in, which wasn't that bad for me, but the background noise (main street in front of the hotel) at night was a bit annoying.But what bothered me personally was the shower. A defective shower head (around 30 holes) only dripped water from 5 holes and a high-pressure jet came from one, which made showering with less pressure 3x as time-consuming.The maid definitely has to notice the windows and shower during every final cleaning (at the latest) and the errors don't appear suddenly, so it's completely incomprehensible!

All in all a very solid hotel. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and the staff was nice. Everything was also great in terms of hygiene.Given the local conditions, the hotel is in the lower to medium price segment. It's not exactly cheap, but all in all it's highly recommended for the place and location!Thank you very much, gladly again!

- The room smelled extremely of cigarette smoke, which we couldn't get rid of, even though a no-smoking sign had gone out. It was very uncomfortable with a child.- very much in need of renovation, the faucet was stuck, everything has a disgusting yellow cast.- Air conditioning leaked badly- good sound insulation-friendly and understanding staff- everything was clean

I just wanted to book again for the Animagic next year - but 139 euros for one night is a real rip-off and has no bearing on the fact that the hotel is just a hotel garni. This year I would have paid 180 euros for 2 nights for a single room. I cannot recommend this hotel with all conscience. I'm sorry to everyone who pays these outrageous prices.

For the price, it's a great hotel. Room was clean, pretty decent size. We could store our bikes safely. Friendly staff. VERY close to the train station. Perfect!

For Frankfurt, the hotel was so busy during the exhibition that I had to stay in the Bismarck Hotel in nearby Mannheim, named after the Iron Chancellor. It is only 300 meters away from the station. There are many supermarkets and restaurants, and the rooms are average, but this hotel is in short supply. Manpower, check out is very slow

Positive: The location, within walking distance of the train station and some tram lines are easily accessible. The price of the hotel is also cheap by today's standards. The person who works at breakfast was very nice and the price/performance of the breakfast was also reasonable.Negative: The WiFi didn't reliably reach our room on the fourth floor.The air conditioning was dripping when we turned it on (very briefly for this reason). Since you stand underneath it when you switch it on, my companion got the water.At night (around 10:30 p.m.? 11 p.m.?) we had to wait a few minutes and ring the bell repeatedly because the door was locked and there was no way to enter the house independently (at other hotels you can do this with a code or card, for example). ).There was dark hair in the shower. Speaking of the shower: the shower head in our room was so calcified that water didn't come out of all the holes, so the water pressure in some parts of the shower head was so strong that it really hurt when the water came into your face, for example.Despite booking a double bed, our room was a twin room, which we then moved and moved back ourselves.The television had a specified maximum volume - which can of course be pleasant, but this maximum volume was so low that we eventually gave up because the program we wanted to watch was not easy to watch.In addition, despite the many references to the current smoking ban, there was an unbelievable smell of smoke in our room.The hotel was perfectly fine for one night, although there were of course a lot of negative little things.

Room big enough and clean.It was positive that there was a small refrigerator in the room.I was there on business and had to sleep during the day, unfortunately this was not possible because the room opposite was still being cleaned at 3:30 p.m.I'm wondering why you have to vacuum the room with the door open so that the noise of the vacuum cleaner can be heard in the small hallway and you're standing vertically in bed...Housekeeping probably has no idea!The street noise also rumbles right into your bed...What was also negatively noticeable was that shortly after 10 a.m. the employees were all sitting in the hotel guests' breakfast room, not exactly professionally...

One overnight stay is enough. There was hair in the bed that wasn't mine. Rooms with windows facing the street mean noisy traffic. The sanitary facilities are more of a small adventure to use and the breakfast, well, sausage and cheese have just been taken out of the packaging. My last visit there.

The Hotel am Bismarck is very centrally located, so we only had to walk a few steps to the two Christmas markets. The room is functional and clean. Very well stocked breakfast buffet with fresh juices, yoghurt, various muesli etc.The staff are consistently very friendly and helpful.The fact that not all guests show consideration for others cannot be blamed on either the staff or the owner! This is what it felt like early in the morning (very early) with elephants as guests in the room above us! The stomping was really annoying!A little note for the cleaning staff: Clean the toilets more neatly up to BELOW the edge!!!In summary: definitely recommended for short trips!
