The Rügenhotel is closed again for the last stage. The final result with the expanded broiler bar, newly renovated swimming pool and the new restaurant, breakfast and cafe on the ninth floor with an elevator on the west gable and a newly designed outdoor area gives us a lot to hope for.Let yourself be surprised.

Pay immediately when checking in, no friendly word, just... room number here is your key card, the elevator on the right and breakfast on the left around the corner from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at times there is no staff there.Parking: a disgrace for the extra money.Room: clean, but very narrow and noisy, closet musty and poorly lit, chairs on the balcony without pillows, sockets near the bed but at the foot of the bed.Bathroom: clean, toilet flush apparently defective or poorly adjusted, toilet brush below all dignity, shower OK, unfortunately no towel rack in front of it.Breakfast: Service and performance absolutely inadequate, staff seem overwhelmed and are sometimes unfriendly, offer OK.Cleaning staff: nice, friendly and accommodating.Views from the upper floors on the lake side are fantastic.Conclusion: The area is very beautiful, but there are other hotels that make more effort to ensure that their guests have a pleasant vacation. I might have judged some things differently, but for 535 euros for three nights I expected a little more.

For the price you would expect the rooms to be far better equipped. There is no overhead light, kettle or fridge. Only two glasses and a water bottle for 3 euros are provided. The employees don't say hello and seem rather annoyed when spoken to. The hotel is currently being renovated, which is causing a lot of inconvenience for guests. For example, we had to stop breakfast early because we were exposed to the sun head-on as there are no curtains in the hall. From there, breakfast costs 21 euros per person, which is really a disgrace for what is on offer. Aside from the scrambled eggs and wieners in the garden, I've had the same breakfast better in a youth hostel. Of course it was immediately canceled again.I think there are far better hotels in Sassnitz and I wouldn't recommend this hotel just for the location.Conclusion: very disappointing and way too expensive for what you get (slightly better youth hostel)

Difficult to evaluate due to the renovation.Rooms appear half-finished and are very noisy.At breakfast there was canned fruit and hard rolls.Service was good and an effort was made.The hotel is ok for one night, but for longer stays there are more attractively priced hotels.

Hotel is currently being modernized. Rooms with a view of the Baltic Sea are fantastic.Service from reception to chambermaids was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast has everything your heart desires. We're excited when the swimming pool is open again. We'll be happy to come back.

The location of course makes up for a lot, but... the staff is anything but courteous or even service-oriented... except for the hard-working team in the breakfast room! The colleague from the late shift at reception...that's not possible! In the evenings at the bar the service is quite economical....having a drink on the terrace of the Broilerbar half an hour before closing time was not welcome...! It's a shame... because the fun isn't exactly cheap despite the renovation! The half-baked modernization of the rooms doesn't help either... the balcony was nicely done, but completely weathered chairs (!) on it... it's a shame, but we tried to make the best of it...

The hotel is still not finished. The indoor pool and the 9th floor are still under construction. The rolls from breakfast were not good. I've never eaten such sticky rolls before. These are better baked rolls from the supermarket. Rooms are somewhat OK. The USB port (better to use the socket) for charging your cell phone cannot be used. Parking lot not lit (also still under construction?) The location and the view of the hotel are still the best and the staff is very helpful. Unfortunately the price is far too high. Maybe when the hotel is finished.

Unfortunately, my stay at the Hotel Rügen in Sassnitz was associated with some inconveniences. The first room I was assigned was freezing and the heating did NOT work. When I asked for another room, I was initially told that there were no other rooms available. Only when I explained that I would otherwise have to leave the hotel were two other rooms suddenly offered.The first one was warm, but reserved for port employees, so it wasn't available to me. The second room I was eventually assigned was a little colder, but at least bearable. Unfortunately, the overall stay left a lot to be desired and I didn't feel sufficiently well looked after.Overall, the service here left me with a mixed impression.

Rooms were renovated, currently outside scaffolding. Location nice central. Service good, breakfast also sufficient and good. The only thing is that the hallway doors need to be discontinued. They slam shut and are quite loud if you have rooms next to them. (But it's definitely easy to fix)
