A rather smaller hotel above Oberstdorf that is worth its 5 stars: absolutely quiet, modern rooms, attractive with lots of wood, large, spacious bathroom, beautiful views, free parking in front of the door. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, the dinner included in the price allows you to choose between meat, fish and vegetarian and consistently shows high quality and originality. Not to forget: four-legged friends also feel at home here. Staff friendly throughout.Given what is on offer, the hotel offers a very good price/performance ratio.

The conclusion at the beginning: The Hotel Kühberg is very good and absolutely recommended!The hotel is in a very quiet location a little away and above Oberstdorf, not far from the ski jumps. Depending on the room, you have a beautiful view of the city and/or the mountains and meadows. Everyone was always very friendly and attentive; the expression “family atmosphere” is more apt here.We had the “Kiefer” room with a side view of Oberstdorf from the balcony, as well as the cable car to the Nebelhorn and the mountains. The room was modernly furnished and very spacious with a separate sofa, a table and two armchairs, as well as a desk with a chair. The bathroom with toilet was also large enough and had a large, walk-in shower. The beds were just as big and comfortable with slightly firmer mattresses, but everyone has their own taste anyway.Part of our booking was the “pleasure board”, i.e. with breakfast, dinner and a small snack in the afternoon (pastries & soup). The breakfast was very extensive and offered a varied selection. Special requests for egg dishes and types of coffee were gladly fulfilled. The dinner was exceptionally good and tasty and consisted of at least three courses, or a 4-course menu if desired. A different, great menu was offered for each evening, with the choice of main course consisting of meat, fish or vegetarian food. In between you could help yourself to the salad buffet.There were enough parking spaces in the gravel parking lot behind the hotel, but the guest card also included use of public transport, as well as one or two discounts at the various excursion destinations and mountain railways.We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kühberg and would come back at any time. Many thanks again to the entire Kühberg team.

I ended up in this hotel by mistake. I wanted to book at the Hotel Restaurant Kuhberg in Hamburg and when I looked up their website I booked at this other hotel without realising. I called to cancel and they wouldn't let me. I know it was my mistake, but I think humanity should be above rules and contracts, and I would be much poorer than the hotel if I lost that money. Since I couldn't afford to lose the amount of the reservation, I had to take a train and spend 14 hours crossing the whole country. And well, as for the hotel, the truth is that the place is wonderful. The room was spacious and luxurious. The only drawback I would put on it was the pillow, it was noticeably very used and uncomfortable, I think they could use a memory foam makeover. The food offered for dinner was fantastic and the breakfasts were very good too. The attention of the staff is what I would call "professional kindness", correct at all times. In conclusion, it was a change of plans that led to a completely different vacation, but one that I was certainly able to enjoy. I would add that since I arrived in the morning of the following day, I missed a dinner that they have not reimbursed me for. It would have been a nice touch on their part.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. It is located in the middle of magnificent nature with a view of the mountains that takes your breath away. You are looked after, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere is absolutely loving and familiar. Every detail is carefully chosen, from the decoration to the kitchen. Our dog was warmly welcomed. We were pampered for 10 days and didn't want to leave. If there were more than 4 stars to give, I would give them all. Simply wonderful!

Simply fantastic! Together with our dog, we had a wonderful stay where nothing was missing. Our dog was provided with a great dog bed right from the start, as well as treats and bowls and was always welcome. We think it's important to highlight this because you're not a welcome guest everywhere with a dog.The accommodation is quiet, in a great location for excursions (a visit to the ski jump at 10 a.m. is worth it as training takes place there every day), the sauna in the room has been extensively tested and found to be wonderfully relaxing ;-)The food is more than very good - it's just amazing what's served there. With so much love, creativity and in keeping with the style of the house, something new and extremely tasteful is presented every day that is second to none. We felt like we were at home with mom - in an absolutely positive way!We would love to come back and can hardly wait.

Our stay at the Hotel Kühberg was simply fantastic! We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and immediately felt welcome. The service throughout the hotel was exceptionally courteous - the staff were always friendly, attentive and listened to our every need.Particularly noteworthy is the fantastic food. Every evening a varied 3-course menu with changing themes awaited us, which was of the highest culinary standard. Upon request, there was an excellent wine accompaniment that was perfectly matched to the dishes. The daily snack was also an absolute dream - a wonderful selection of regional delicacies that perfectly strengthened us after our hikes.The location of the hotel was the ideal starting point for a variety of hikes. Beautiful routes started right outside the door, ideal for both leisurely walks and more demanding tours.Overall, our stay at the Hotel Kühberg was a perfect break from everyday life. The outstanding service, the delicious food and the fantastic location made our vacation unforgettable. We can only warmly recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Very nice hotel, fantastically located above Oberstdorf. We were warmly welcomed at check-in. The friendliness ran like a common thread throughout our entire stay. The entire Kühberg team was very attentive and accommodating. It doesn't seem artificial or rehearsed, but really meant seriously. Our room was large, very well furnished and clean. The bathroom has a large shower with rain shower. The location of the house is unique. Located next to the ski jumps above Oberstdorf, the house is an ideal starting point for hikes. You can also simply enjoy the garden and the view of the surrounding mountains on one of the numerous loungers. The breakfast was rich and varied, and not just because of the daily changing specials. Freshly prepared egg variants are also part of the daily offering, as are fresh sausages, regional mountain cheese, etc. Particular mention should be made of the clever concept to avoid garbage or food waste. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kühberg from the first to the last minute.

A lovely hotel in a great location with clean rooms and good food. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. What should be highlighted is the boss's excellent wine advice. Families and dogs are welcome, but fortunately the rooms (at least in the annex) are well soundproofed. There is no wellness area, but individual rooms with private saunas, which we really liked. Overall, we unfortunately found the room price paid to be a bit too high compared to other hotels in the Alpine region.

Overwhelmed by the location😍this view ..just wonderful ..great hiking right from the house too, brilliant.Arrive and feel good, that's exactly how we felt and were able to experience it..Rooms very tasteful..great view from the balcony 👌😍 then of course the lovely and very very friendly nature of everything in the hotel, service was top notch.😊.and last but not least the food (menu), it tops the whole thing.. simply a highlight 👌😋😋Pure taste experience..and pleasing to the eye😍😍 The breakfast buffet also leaves nothing to be desired..Thank you for everything..It certainly wasn't our last visit 🤗
