The huts are quite nice and when the weather is good it's definitely fun to be there. It would be nice if toilets and showers were also located in huts.

Wonderful, rustic location for weddings and larger family celebrations. The adjacent huts can be rented for overnight stays so that no one has to drive anymore.

We were there from August 26th to August 30th. We went on a final trip to Chiemsee with our class and spent the week in the Almdorado. We had a great time and really enjoyed it. The team was great, especially we got along very well with Lena. You do a great job, always there when you have questions or concerns. The older huts are a bit small, especially for taller people; ), but the new cabins are great and spacious. The sanitary facilities are ok, especially you can book a private bathroom. It's just like being at a campsite. The breakfast buffet was very good, fresh rolls, fruit, cereal...what more could you want? Thank you very much for the great time, also from the students.

Not recommended!Everyone is looking forward to the school trip, but then...We were there with 2 classes, which means around 60 people. When we arrived, things didn't go smoothly either, as we had to wait a long time until the huts were allocated to us. Then we had to look for our hut. After a long search we found ourselves in our hut. The 4-person hut was narrower than expected. We were given bed covers, but the pillows, blankets and mattresses in the room were dirty and stained. In general the rooms were not clean. Someone probably didn't think about the fridge either. This opens into the room and is in the last corner in the wall, so you have to bend every time you want to get to it. Dinner on the first day was stressful because there was pizza that 2 people baked. Breakfast the next morning starts well when you see the dirty knives, plates and spoons that were supposedly in the dishwasher. Nevertheless, they were put back in the baskets, apparently dirty. It was only on the second day that the rules of conduct were explained to us. It was emphasized that they treat everyone here like family or friends. We didn't notice anything about it the entire time. The staff was annoyed and rude.On the last day there should be a barbecue. The day before we had to fill out a list of what we wanted to eat. One option was grilled cheese. But somehow the people at Almdorado didn't buy grilled cheese but simply mozzarella. These should be placed on the grill 😂. So in the end everyone who ordered grilled cheese got a ball of mozzarella. After two people tested positive for Corona, rules were forced on us. In the evening we were all allowed to eat together in the big hut. In the morning, however, we were only allowed to enter this hut to get food and then had to eat it outside while standing. So being treated like family definitely feels different. In short, cleanliness is overrated here and so is friendliness. You'd better look for something else!Almdorado lets the negative recession be erased!

The idea of this place is really good and right from the start a big compliment to the young lady at the reception who is doing a great job. Of course, a holiday here takes you back to the days of school camps and although I really appreciate the simplicity of such things, I have to complain that it gets really freezing cold in the huts at night, which is not surprising considering that the door to our hut is not good or was not sealed at all. Sanitary facilities were available and in order.

So I can't understand all the negative reviews. Price performance is more than fulfilled here. I don't understand what people think about the price. It is not a 5 star facility. The cabin is well equipped with a fridge and light upstairs and downstairs. There is also lighting outside. The sanitary facilities were clean during our visit. There was toilet paper on the ground at one point, but that could have happened at any other campsite. You can't hang the shower head, that's true. An improvement would be a shelf or several hanging hooks. But it is possible to take a shower. You can also queue. It just has to be mentioned that you can have an overnight experience for 60 euros. Fair drink prices. Friendly staff. Barbecue freely accessible. We were satisfied. We will definitely come back for an overnight stay.

Check-in was fine. The service person was very friendly and accommodating. The hut (newly built) is very spartan. As an caution for 1 night, but completely sufficient. There is a refrigerator, but you have to make your own bed linen. I didn't know that yet.Since there is no trash can in the hut, I think it would be good if you were given a trash bag when checking in. If you ask, you can get almost anything at the reception.Unfortunately, the blinds didn't last long in our cabin. We just turned on the fan briefly to get the air moving a bit. This went off immediately when the fan made the first small movement of the blind. In summary, it was an adventurous experience. I don't know if we'll do it again, but it seems perfect for avid cyclists.

The idea is great. We were absolutely thrilled with the houses and the whole place. However, the mattresses are very, very designed, I was basically lying on the wood. In addition, the mattresses don't necessarily fit into the beds, mine was too long, which meant it was clicked up, which also made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The sanitary facilities are fine for a short stay, but some of them should be repaired. What should be highlighted is the very friendly staff!
