If a budget airline was trying to run a modern boutique hotel, it might be something like Cocoon. With the name, I suppose they’re trying to make a virtue out of compactness, but for me it doesn’t work. Their cozy twin really was more like a single with an extra twin bed. My wife compared it to a jail cell. Not having a desk inside the room really causes problems. The plumbing is decent, but there isn’t enough sink space for two people’s toiletries. While the hanging chair is a cute touch, it would be better to have an actual chair that one can move around, so that one doesn’t have to sit on a toilet to do work. They also only provided us with only one towel, and the shampoo dispenser ran out after one shower, requiring us to contact the front desk in order to have it replaced. The good: some of the nicest hallways I’ve ever seen, with elaborately decorated carpeting and walls. The cafe also looks nice. The breakfast buffet had quite good sausage and eggs, but the coffee machine was only average. I would have been more charitable if these were truly budget prices, but we’ve had cheaper hotels in Europe that offered far more amenities. At this price, I think four stars is generous.

The room was clean and cozy. Even though it's overlooking a busy street, the room was nice and quiet. There were multiple large windows with automatic blinds and good blackout curtains. My kid loved the hanging chair. The breakfast buffet had a nice mix of options. The hotel is close to the main station and the rest of the city is easily walkable. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great about the Cocoon in Salzburg. It is close to the train station. It is an easy walk to both the old and new parts of the city. The staff were wonderful. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Best hotel we stayed at during our three week trip to Europe. We will definitely look to stay at Cocoon Hotels on future trips.

A very cozy, warm and friendly hotel. The staff was most gracious and helpful. The rooms were sufficient and well kept. The room could use a luggage holder. Being just across from the train station, made this a very convenient location. It is a about a 10 minute walk to the Mirabell Gardens and another 10 minutes to the Old Town. A great place to stay.

The customer service was excellent! The taco bar was actually pretty good, and the drinks were excellent. They offer free apples and water all day long. The swing in the room was great to read in! We had 2 twin beds in the room, but there were only USB ports on the far side of one bed so we couldn't share the. Also the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were all I'm 1 combo.

I was delighted to choose this hotel in my recent trip in Salzburg.The room was clean, comfortable and modish. The staff at reception were really helpful and efficient in responding inquiries. The breakfast were also abundant in terms of choices and the taste was excellent! In addition, the hotel located within 3-minute walk from the bus stop and Salzburg train station, which were convenient for those wishing to navigating the city and taking inter-city trains.

Terrific location.. short walk to bahnhof and easy access via bus to everything! Room was very clean, fresh and well arranged. Loved the night light that turned on as you walked near the bed! The hotel bar was a nice, comfortable place to relax following a day of wonderful sightseeing. The highlight of all, however, was the staff! All were so helpful and friendly!!
