It was our first time to stay overnight at the Hotel Plankl! We were more than warmly welcomed by phone before we arrived!Upon arrival, the family and warm atmosphere was more than confirmed! The hotel boss and the staff were very accommodating and were available to help and advise!It's a shame we only spent one night here! Always my pleasure! A top address in Altötting and the surrounding area!

The whole service was simply a disaster!Dinner looked (and tasted) like old leftovers from the menu.The service took a long time to arrive.Neither my wife nor I could get it down.Service is simply underground no matter what area.Breakfast buffet on Saturday was still on Sunday, but there were the rolls from the day before, half of the bowl of bacon was burnt and the other half was soggy.Most of the bowls are constantly empty!!!The THREE COACHES with new ones was probably a bit too much for the young service staff.Even the pool wasn't opened several times.It's a shame for almost 600 euros for 2 nights with breakfast, we would have expected a somewhat more professional overall package.A fruit basket and a bottle of water in the most expensive room (Penthouse Suite) in the hotel would be well received by usbeen.We didn't even have room service!Well at least the towels were changed once.ADDENDUM TO THE OWNER'S WRONG COMMENTS:The pool opening times were definitely not adhered to.The pool was not open either in the evening or in the morning at the times stated.That's why we asked the reception to unlock the pool area.We didn't have any table neighbors at all!The hotelier's responses to criticism are also cheeky, outrageous and insulting.

Located not far from Kapellplatz with its sacred buildings.We had a spa experience room; a very nice and large double room with its own sauna in the bathroom! Simply wonderful! We used them every day!The staff is super friendly and the food is really delicious! The menu is varied and the kitchen team conjures up delicious dishes!

Just beautiful. I had a room with a waterbed and Greek style. Quite a few mirrors, which was a bit strange at first, but I quickly got used to it. The breakfast buffet was also super tasty, with everything that went with it.

Our room was a bit old, the bathroom was very narrow and old, the terrace was unusable because it was just stones and unkempt. We had room 113..otherwise it was good

Very friendly and courteous staff with a good location of the hotel.Unfortunately, the bed in the single room was placed in such a way that it was only accessible from one side, which made it a little uncomfortable for people who are 1.90m tall. After all, when you turn around at night, you end up hitting the wall with either your arm or your legs.Even if the hotel is a little old, I would recommend it. Just with the note that it could be a bit tight for tall people 😉

It is clear to see from the reviews. It is impossible for the owner to receive any criticism about his hotel without him responding in a sarcastic, bitter & angry manner.I stayed at the Plankl a few years ago for work purposes and I can clarify with past customers that Mr Plankl is a vile human being.He tried telling me that he had to have my room carpet privately shampooed by an outside company and that I owe him €100 for it.Even though it was clear to see that no cleaning had taken place.All by socks and pants was still in the same place on the carpet when I got back to my room later on that day.So unless these magical cleaners picked up my clothes, Shampooed the floor and put all my pants and socks back to in the exact same position on the carpet when they left.Needless to say Mr Plankl got €0 out of me.Horrible man, I would never recommend this place not even to my worse enemy.But other than that, all the staff apart Mr Plankl was lovely 👍🏽

The hotel is located in the center of Altötting. The hotel consists of several hotels. We stayed at the Bavaria Lifestyle and it is very nicely decorated and everything is very clean and tidy everywhere. We had a room with a roof terrace and whirlpool, it was spacious and very tastefully decorated. The shower is great and the bathroom is also spacious. The mattresses are great, you can sleep very well. The roof terrace is also beautiful. The breakfast buffet is varied and has something for everyone. The dinner is very good and very good in terms of taste and quality. The portions aren't exactly small either. Here we cook with love and you can taste it. Big compliments to the kitchen. The entire team was very friendly and accommodating. There is a great team here. You can feel very comfortable and enjoy yourself.

It's been a long time since the trip to Altötting, but I'm currently sorting through old brochures and would like to leave a big compliment for the landlord at the Hotel Plankl. He was so empathetic and had an open ear, had a lot of nice anecdotes to tell and overall, I just felt very comfortable, admired the many beautiful pictures and the colorfulness of the hotel, laughed a lot about the long pool and am still happy about it to this day Piece of fabric from the armchair on which the Pope is said to have sat. Unforgotten and therefore: thank you very much!

How much should I write?Hotel staff very friendly ;) Breakfast very good. pool :))AAABUT.......which doesn't match the pictures on the internet....The room...... I felt like I was in a storage room in the attic.This room should really be renovated as it is really getting old.Old ratan furniture, the carpet no comment, a balcony door that is extremely stuck, cardboard walls so that you can see everything your neighbor is doing.The straps of the blinds were torn out as were the shutter boxes.Renovate the room, because that's not possible.Let's see how the master of the house can deal with this criticism.I would never book it like that again.
