First of all: The review can be verified with pictures. The hotel is a former government building from GDR times that was converted into a hotel. Previously AaP Hotel. There were two women there at check-in in the evening at 7:30 p.m., the entrance area is run down, the outside door doesn't close completely, the entrance area is several steps up, no accessibility. The pictures on the internet are far from reality, cold and drafty, even the receptionists have to wear thick jackets to avoid freezing. They were friendly, but not motivated.Suitcases must be dragged up all stairs and the use of the last remaining elevator of a total of 6 is prohibited. Our room was in the 6th hallway (ground floor = 1, i.e. 5th floor), we had to carry everything up the dark stairs, the lighting in the stairwell is not permanent in the dark and only via cheap, poorly lit and poorly responsive Chinese goods with integrated motion detectors Realized that if, like us, you enter the stairwell with a jacket and hat due to the season, they don't come on in time and you end up walking upstairs in the dark. The room (4P, 1x double B, 1xBunk) for the 3 of us was clean, but not thoroughly wiped down to the corners, there was only a bedside table, two chairs without a table. A basic smell always occurs in the room when the window is closed. The bunk bed was of the cheapest kind, the metal crossbars that supported the mattress were so far apart that if you supported yourself on the head/foot end, the mattress would push down. The double bed was also of the cheapest kind, the mattresses were soft and cheap. The bathroom was clean, there were no towels, there were already traces of black mold in the joints in the shower area, the cleaning that was mandatory upon departure with a mildly chlorine cleaner to prevent this was missing. The siphon in the shower area had no odor trap, it always smelled like a "gully" and you could hear the babbling wastewater from the neighboring shower/toilet. The only thing that helped here was covering the siphon. There was no breakfast on the first morning, the hall was empty and cold anyway, and we were paid in cash for the breakfast we had paid for in advance without any problems. We then went to Uwe Brille's at Coswiger Straße 5, where they had everything you wanted in a nice, friendly atmosphere and a pleasant indoor temperature. To unlock the room you were given a card, which you also had to put in the entrance area in order to have light and electricity on the sockets. It is not possible to charge battery-operated devices when you are away, but also good fire protection precautions. The "mogul slope" parking lot is monitored by ParkControl and must be paid for, €25 per week. The hotel is located directly on the H "Beilsteiner Straße" of the M8 & M18 trams and a 7-minute walk from the S-Bahn 7 & S75 "Springpfuhl". It's about a 30-minute drive to the center, very pleasant to do in Berlin. One star deducted for the incomplete roomOne star deducted for the breakfast that was never servedOne star deducted for the 5th floor without an elevatorThe owner is maximizing profits here, the imprint on the homepage is incomplete. There won't be a repeat, I'll visit the hotel again, I only booked it because it was cheap and still available at short notice. Otherwise we'll go to the B&B.

Personally, I found the hotel terrible, the location is bad as it takes 1 hour to get to the city, but that's the least of the worst. I was there for 1 night and that was enough for me, I was freezing that night even though the window was closed and the heating on the 5th was freezing cold. The curtains didn't close properly because they were too short and the bathroom smelled disgusting. There were stains on the bed and hair on the bed and we just arrived there. However, I have to say that the cleaning ladies are very nice, but the reception is unfriendly. The entrance hall is also disastrous, cold like a warehouse. We had to go to the sixth floor with our suitcases and then wanted to try the elevator. Apparently this one was just there to look nice

It's the worst place I've ever stayed. The elevator doesn't work, the hotel is dirty, the rooms are not as they look in the photos, at least not the one I had. They don't provide towels, soap or shampoo, the bathroom has fungus, the receptionist doesn't solve anything. I came in the cold season and there is no heating so it is horrible because you sleep in the cold.Seriously don't stay here

So you can't expect much. We paid €80 for 1 night. My companion arrived at the main station earlier than expected (around 11 p.m.) and I told her to go to the hotel instead of waiting for me. She said no and when we got there together, I was relatively happy that she didn't go there alone. The entrance seemed relatively worn out and it was gloomy. The receptionist was friendly, but everything was kept very simple. Very basic bathroom (without towels). Also the heater was broken (of course they informed us after we paid for it)You simply notice everything that happens in the hallway. The curtains don't allow you to sleep in because you wake up directly from the sun's rays because they don't catch them. But the location is good, Lidl and Aldi right next door and close to a U and S train.I would only stay there in an emergency, nothing more.
