We stayed in Berlin for 2 nights and stayed at the Pension Arche.The deciding factor was the price. And accordingly our expectations were not very high.- RoomSmall, old but clean. Furniture looks like it came from a second-hand shop. But did what they were supposed to. Cable was not concealed, etc. The bathroom was fine.- ServiceThe most important thing worked. There were minor language hurdles, but they were not significant.- BreakfastWe didn't.- Parking spaceAvailable in the backyard for €16 per day. Since there was nowhere else to park, that was fine with us.- LocationVery, very good. Restaurants just around the corner, train stations 300m, shops too. For this price it was outrageously good.- GenerallyWe had no construction noise and there was no smell of smoke or musty.Conclusion:We would actually come back. Price-performance was right. It was far from "perfect", but it only cost 2/3 of the normal Berlin hotel price.

Unfortunately no hotel of its own, lots of stairs. For keys you have to go next door. The reception staff was a bit taciturn. No good day, welcome. It's a shame, I think that makes a big difference.Then got the key, the room is next door. Bye.The room and the staircase were quite old, but freshly painted it smelled of paint.Breakfast was available next door for €9. No good morning there either, you had to fight your way through it yourself. But the breakfast was also clear.With a little more friendliness and helpfulness, you could get more guests.

Good and simple hotel in Charlottenburg, about 15 minutes by subway from Berlin's inner city. Very easy to get to the west and east, but more difficult to get to the south because public transport system. The surrounding area is quite nocturnal, but it didn't bother us too much. The rooms are somewhat noisy, you can clearly hear what is going on in the rooms from the corridors. Very nice and accommodating staff, cleaning already after the first night. We are very satisfied with our stay.

Hotel in a tenement house. In the center of the district. Reception at a hotel 20 m away. Comfortable mattresses, clean bedding. Stained carpet. Bathroom clean. There are no glasses or cups, not to mention a kettle. This means that to drink tea or coffee you have to go to pubs, many of which are in the immediate vicinity, open from early morning until night. Generally good for 2-3 nights, when you only want to spend the night and spend the rest of the time exploring Berlin. Wait until the last minute to make a reservation. Our 3-person room, booked two weeks earlier on booking, cost PLN 1,300 and on the day of arrival only PLN 560. And it was on the day of European Championship 24, when Poles played.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR STAY HERE ! Very poor management & customer service. Room had smoke odor. The stairwell had a stale odor. Broken bathroom door handle. Carpet had not been shampooed or steam cleaned for long timeI paid for my room using Hotel.com and when reached Hotel reception asked for my card. We thought they wanted to just block funds but they charged us. Later when I asked for refund they declined. They are scrupulous and highly unprofessional. Much better options elsewhere. The key pick process is v convoluted.

It was extremely dirty in the rooms.Everything in the bathroom was full of mold. The balcony was full of bird droppings, cigarette butts and dirt.There were stains everywhere on the carpet and beds. One bed was broken in half and was simply patched up cheaply.The smell in the room was also pretty bad.Simply disgusting.

I like old buildings. But this "hotel" is not only old, but also in urgent need of renovation. And that's really putting it mildly. The equipment is functional, but also ancient.The windows are single-glazed, as was standard decades ago. And on such a busy street. Horribly loud. Everything was dirty and unkempt.Permanent construction sites were set up in the neighboring houses. The noise from the construction workers was unbearable from 6:30 a.m. onwards.However, the breakfast that was included with us was a blast!!! Baked rolls, packaged sausage and cheese. And one type of each. Two types of jam, portion packs. Complete. That borders on impertinent. No! That doesn't border on impudence, it's an impudence.The following days we went to the bakery nearby. Of course we still had to pay for breakfast. It was clear to us too.The location on Kantstrasse is great.3 minutes to the subway, many good restaurants nearby.We will definitely never forget this accommodation. I've never had a worse one.

The only good thing is the location. It was not mentioned anywhere before booking that it was an annex to the other hotel. A huge construction site that starts shortly before 7 in the morning that no one has said anything about. You can even hear the room next door while watching TV. Room NOT remotely clean, as soon as you open the door there is a huge wave of old smell. WLAN no talk value works ZERO.
