Very nice hotel with a small but nice sauna and a very good restaurant. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon, had a delicious meal in the evening and slept heavenly. Finally a hotel with decent beds and not those rock-hard mattresses! The breakfast the next morning left nothing to be desired. We really enjoyed our little break and would love to come back.

You can only feel comfortable in the country house at the old blacksmith shop. Completely remote from the hustle and bustle of the city, pure peace and nature and time to just take in the beautiful things...there you can take a lot of time for yourself and your loved ones, sit comfortably in the sauna, read, go for a walk and indulge in culinary delights let yourself be pampered. The service is friendly and the country-style rooms, with and without a dog, are always comfortable and very clean.The only counterpoint: the staff should not smoke right in front of the main entrance/next to the kitchen. This seems unpleasant when you just arrive, being greeted by smoke and generally uninviting.

Cozy hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and a good (including vegetarian) selection at breakfast. According to the small sign on the buffet, there should also be vegan spreads, but the basket only contained different types of cream cheese.Checking in via the key safe was also very uncomplicated.Overall recommended!

We celebrated our wedding in the barn of the country house a month ago. The service was first class, and the planning in advance and the arrangements went very well. All employees had fun and were fully committed, even though it unfortunately rained a lot in the evening. Ms. Ribatzke in particular was there with dedication and passion. She had a plan for every possible eventuality and always seemed well prepared. Many thanks also to the whole team! The food is really a poem.

Nice little hotel in a quiet location. Very secluded. There is a small petting zoo and a playground right next to the hotel, so also nice for smaller children. The beer garden is really great and inviting. But in my opinion the restaurant prices are excessive.

We were finally able to celebrate our dream wedding with 75 guests in the Alte Schmiede country house in June 2024! The country house with the team around Ms. Ribatzke and chef Dirk Krause managed to give us a completely successful and unforgettable summer family wedding celebration. In addition to the total carefree package with the feeling of leaning back, all of our wishes were also fully implemented. Our high culinary expectations were not only met but also exceeded. But we had already thought that on several previous overnight visits, as the country house was already impressive here too. We will definitely return again and again to this great, warm and exclusive place to spend relaxing days. Thank you again for this loving and warm all-round care!

I stayed at the hotel twice for a week each and felt comfortable there. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything you needed for a pleasant stay was there, including peace and quiet. I didn't eat in the restaurant. Small suggestion for improvement: In the hot summer months, a fan would perhaps provide some relief from the annoying heat in the attic. I can recommend this hotel.
