Very nice staff. Days of rest are always on Thursday and Sunday.When you check in you get a WiFi password, but you don't need it because the WiFi in the rooms doesn't work at all. In general, the internet is very poorly developed in the hotel.When I arrived, I wanted to take the elevator to the first floor, but unfortunately it got stuck. The staff laughed at the situation and helped after about 10 minutes. The shame was that the bell built into the elevator didn't work. It was about 30 degrees in the elevator.In my opinion this is not possible at all as this is a security device.If the elevator works, then good, otherwise there are stairsBreakfast gets a 4 from me in school grades.

We had dinner at the restaurant at the weekend for a large family gathering. The location is great for a trip in the countryside, the food was very tasty, the selection was good and the service was absolutely friendly and attentive.I didn't stay overnight so I can't comment on the rooms.We'd love to come back!

We only visited the restaurant:👎In keeping with the season, there were plenty of dishes with chanterelles on the daily menu. Actually a good, tasty idea. If only they could be spread!As a result of being washed/stored in water for far too long, the mushrooms were soaked, soggy, frayed and without any taste because they had been leached out! You don't serve something like that! It's a shame about what was actually a great, expensive and so pointlessly destroyed product!But there was no escaping him. Even if you chose a dish without chanterelles on the menu, you got this accident "on top" without asking!For this, e.g. was missing. For example, with the deer leg, the cranberries mentioned in the menu.That was probably nothing! Especially not in a restaurant with this self-imposed higher standard.👎

I have known the Stausee Hotel for over 30 years. An institution in and around Metzingen.They say: If the locals eat there, it must be good. In this case correct.I think it's great that this company places great value on training and service. Anyone who knows my reviews knows - I love “the old school” - which doesn't mean that you're not open to something new, but in this restaurant the food has been at a high level over the years and it still tastes as good as ever you learned to love it as a child/adolescent and later.And the service is and remains top!Child-friendly - a top playground that is absolutely in good condition and well maintained.Keep it up, we'd love to come back!

There are enough parking spaces in front of the hotel, and the reception from the staff is very warm and friendly. There is an elevator to the rooms. The room is clean and equipped according to the 3 stars. There is air conditioning in the room which I thought was great. The bed was ok, I like it a little firmer and the mattress was the only drawback.The food in the restaurant is very tasty and the price is completely ok!The breakfast is very tasty and there was even smoked salmon. In every situation the staff was exemplary friendly and you really felt welcome.Gladly again at any time!

Yesterday my wife and I went to dinner at the Stausee Restaurant.Unfortunately I have to say that it didn't go according to our expectations.According to her, my wife's starter was very good and really nicely prepared.There was no dressing on your salad and you had to order more. When you mentioned it to the waiter, he became a bit unfriendly and firmly and stiffly stated that the salad had been dressed, which was definitely not true. She also wasn't served baguette bread, even though it was advertised on the menu. When I asked if they didn't serve baguette bread, the same waiter said no, only when asked, because they had to throw away too much uneaten bread.Firstly, if it's on the menu, it should be served, or at least an indication of whether you want the bread with it.And secondly, it is not the guest's job to point this out to the waiter!My ordered onion roast (when ordering only the fried onions, but NOT the fried potatoes) with fried potatoes was anything but a steak-worthy meal. Served carelessly on the plate, you could say slapped down, completely tasteless both the very small meat and the fried potatoes, no onions or bacon were served with the fried potatoes as described on the menu.The sauce was served separately as ordered.After we pointed this out to the same waiter again, he took the food away and brought it back after a few minutes. To make a long story short, the whole thing went completely wrong three times, the second time the food was served soaked in sauce, even though the sauce was expressly ordered separately, and then the third time the same plate was served without meat that had been washed and was dead in the meantime Sauce delivered, which is absolutely unacceptable!After an unpleasant discussion with the waiter, I was given a new plate.Unfortunately I have to say, this plate was also completely tasteless and for such a hefty price of over 30 euros I can expect more.To put it bluntly, I could have bitten into a box that wouldn't have tasted significantly different.We are more than disappointed and will NOT come again.One last point of criticism is that 5 different service staff constantly asked if everything was OK!Honestly, we want to sit comfortably in a restaurant, have a relaxed conversation and not be constantly interrupted.A tip to the management.Sometimes fewer questions are more, and perhaps you should think about it before a dish leaves the kitchen.Whether you would eat it the way it was served to me... Guaranteed NOT!!!Your waiters/service staff should ask the guest how they would like the meat and not the other way around!!!Out of 10 possible points, the restaurant gets 10 points for its location.8 points from the facility.3 points for service because a few things went wrong.Based on my food, 2 points because it wasn't worth the price.

Highly Recommended. Unfortunately, I've had rather bad experiences recently, especially when it comes to service. This was completely refuted in the restaurant. Here, as a guest, you will be treated like royalty. Drinks were refilled without asking, every waiter was always smiling and not at a loss for a good joke. If service is important, you should definitely go to this restaurant. The food was great and small children are also welcome and given coloring books. You just feel welcome. The food was also quick, even though the entire terrace (with a wonderful view of the reservoir) was almost full. You can definitely go there!!

There were four of us on the terrace and it was outstanding! The service is perfect and the ambience is uniquely beautiful. The food is an experience in every respect. We really enjoyed the evening and would love to come back. A big compliment to the kitchen!

We were only in the restaurant, I can't give any information about the rooms. Really very good cuisine, but also correspondingly high in price, totally friendly service. The building at least has a view of the lower reservoir from the terrace, but is in an absolute cell phone hole. Ask the service about WiFi, then you can at least make calls via the Internet.

Very good food, great service and a very friendly boss. We were at the Stausee Hotel as part of a company event.Some of the rooms are a bit small, but sufficient.I would like to highlight the beautiful surroundings and, above all, the delicious food. Here we still cook with love.
