Very friendly staff, a great and rich breakfast. The rooms are naturally spartan and noisy, that should be clear to you. The location is central and you stay overnight in a historically relevant place with friendly hosts.

Very nice hotel right on the market square in Wittenberg. In the inner courtyard there is a beautiful beer garden with a restaurant. The staff is extremely nice. The breakfast was really great, we didn't miss anything.

Really great! The staff very friendly. Our room (suite) was clean and large. The location right on the market square is unbeatable and the breakfast was very good and prepared with love. What more could you want? We stayed here for one night with 2 small children and will definitely come back

Yes, it could have been so beautiful. Unfortunately it's far too loud, young people bawl all night long in the market square where the hotel and therefore also the bedroom is located. The double bed still consisted of two individual mattresses that were much too soft, so you rolled in the middle all night long. Zero sleep possible. Breakfast was a complete disaster. You push your way through narrow aisles at the buffet with pensioners, children and moms in order to get a glimpse of something. You drive home unrefreshed and relieved by too many euros. Unfortunately that was nothing.

Nice and informative reception at reception. The room obviously has to be paid for straight away, but that didn't bother us in the least. It doesn't change anything. Checking out is quicker. I was surprised that the beds weren't made. So probably no cleaning of the room. But it didn't bother me. The room didn't have a TV, which was very convenient for me personally. There was nothing in the hotel description. Towels were completely changed on the 3rd day. The breakfast was sufficient and very good. Nice and friendly ladies made the breakfast complete. What surprised me when I read the reviews was that there was no elevator. If I go to Wittenberg again

We spent 3 nights here with our 2 children and were very satisfied! Nice big rooms! The breakfast was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the location is perfect! Bicycle storage is also available.

I had a monk's room, a very good price-performance ratio and in the middle of the old town. The accommodation is very clean, the furniture in the rooms is modern, the bed has a very comfortable mattress and hotel linen. There is enough space to hang up clothes or put them on shelves, as well as some hooks, as well as a large table with chair and bedside table and a stylish large floor lamp. A large and well-equipped beautiful kitchen is available for cooking yourself, the shared bathroom is very modern and clean. Due to the history of the building you can hear the neighbors in the hallway, but for this price including a wonderful and loving breakfast there are no defects. The receptionist was extremely welcoming and warm, as were the breakfast staff. Great homemade jams and spreads for vegans, very nice atmosphere throughout the house. One look at the old photo from 1989 of what it looked like here is enough to tip your hat to what was created from the building. Great and thank you very much!

A very nice old house. You can feel that on every corner. Everything has been restored very stylishly. In the monks' rooms you actually feel like you've gone back in time. Low ceiling, spartan furnishings, as it probably was back then, only the furniture is more modern. And if you can see the light shining through the cracks in the door and of course hear every word in the hallway or in the next room, that is due to monument protection. But that makes it very authentic. I thought it was great. (If it bothers you, ear plugs are recommended :-)

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Despite our late arrival, we received a warm welcome and the service was excellent. What was particularly impressive was that despite adverse circumstances due to problems with the city's water supply, the staff did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast was delicious and the service was very attentive and friendly. Many thanks to the entire team for a great short stay!

Their customer service was first class and provided tons of helpful local information. We had a two bedroom, one bathroom suite which was spacious and elegant as well as private and quiet. Utterly charming historic location with delicious breakfast. Excellent experience!

A beautiful accommodation in the middle of Wittenberg. The hostel in the Cranach Höfen has been lovingly renovated and is a successful mix of historical and modern. Although located in the city center, the room facing the courtyard was very quiet. If you need a TV in the room, this is the wrong place. We didn't miss it. Very friendly service, special requests were taken into account. The breakfast was something different than conventional hotel buffets, there were lots of homemade, regional spreads, jams and baked goods. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. Full marks from us and...keep it up!

A really great hostel for a trip to Lutherstadt Wittenberg.We were warmly welcomed and were even able to get to the check in earlier than planned.The rooms were clean and tidy, just as you would expect.The central location makes it perfect.The breakfast was really great.All in all, we thought it was great what they had done with the building. A cozy hostel with charm.
