After a long time, my wife and I visited the Adler again and were treated to an excellent dinner in the Jägerstüble. As has been the case for years, the food and wine were of excellent quality and, as always, served to us by friendly and attentive staff. As on our previous visits, everything was excellent and nothing justified criticism. Almost nothing, except for two things: Firstly, the appetizer was unfortunately no longer the usual pot of hearty lard but an indefinable white spread (convenience product?). On the other hand, the sliced bread came quite cold from the fridge instead of the toaster. It's a shame that these two shortcomings somewhat detracted from the perfection of our dinner. So much for the food, which still deserves its 5 star rating. But now to the ambience of the Jägerstüble. Things had changed drastically since our last visit. Instead of the previous tables covered with white linen, there are now black (plastic?) tops draped with sets that are just as black. Instead of the previous wooden chairs with high backs and covered with beige, gray and old red striped covers (including the benches), the room is now dominated by boring plain-colored bucket seats, which are also not very comfortable to sit on because of the hard upholstery. Instead of the previous white ceiling with rustic brown wooden beams (typical of a hunter's lounge), a gray ceiling paneling now impresses the mind from above. The previous nostalgic copper lights hanging above the individual tables were also replaced by a sober, continuous LED rail. And all the previous curtains on the windows were removed without replacement, so that now all you can see is the bare panes. Last but not least, all previous atmospheric accessories, such as pictures and the old cuckoo clock that never worked, were removed from the walls. No doubt, the Jägerstüble has been modernized with new interior design skills and brought up to date in terms of functionality and modern style. The successful color combination of the floor, ceiling, tables, chairs and lighting leaves no doubt about the good taste of the hotel management and the architects and companies involved. There is only one thing that all the designers overlooked. This room is the Jägerstüble of a country inn in an idyllic place on the Würm and not the dining room of a functional hotel in a big city. And so they turned what was once a cozy and homely parlor into a sober and loveless place to eat food. They have robbed the Jägerstüble of its soul and replaced it with nothing of equal value. Too bad!Well, as we all know, there is no arguing about taste. And so the new ambience of the Jägerstüble can definitely please the younger generation, which I don't want to criticize in any way. So it could well be because of my age that I think and feel differently here. And so my criticism should not be included in the assessment of the Adler restaurant. Because the most important thing is still right: the quality of the food and the courtesy and friendliness of the service.

Unfortunately, I was rejected unkindly on the phone and not given an excuse because I wanted to make a booking with an accompanying person and several young people from a golf club. Due to a bad experience, supposedly with a youth team from another golf club, I was refused a booking, which is a shame!A negative experience is so damaging that people will no longer accept bookings in the future, they said. It's a shame, as the location of the hotel is very nice and close to the golf club. Now we are looking for other hotels nearby and are happy to book there.Kind regards

My wife and I were en route to Austria and chose this hotel for a stop-over. What a find. Hidden away in delightful country side yet about 10 minutes from the auto-route. …
