At Katzenstein Castle there was an informative castle tour followed by a knight's dinner with plenty of delicious food, first-class service and a warm welcome from the Nomidis-Walter family. Everything is done to ensure the guests' satisfaction. A special compliment for Laura, she has a particularly endearing way of dealing with guests. Entrance fee to go to dinner.I don't think it's good. At least I haven't read anything that the entrance fee is refunded.

The rooms are not as nice as you would expect. But everything about this castle is awesome. Many thanks to the castle lords for the great stay. We'll be back. The restaurant is super tasty and prices are great. Thanks for the great experience. The jousting games were also great.

Very nice service. The food was also okay except for the schnitzel (ready-made schnitzel). Aaaaber.... I think it was the boss, she yelled at her employee in the middle of the restaurant. 1. It's not possible in front of others, 2. You don't talk to anyone like that! In addition, the food came very late. My husband was almost finished eating when my daughter's food finally arrived.I think we would go again, but with fewer expectations.

A beautiful and well-preserved castle. I haven't visited them myself. This is no longer necessary due to the many images and Google Fly posted. The castle is privately owned, and the privacy of the owners must of course also be taken into account.

The castle is quite nice, as are the outdoor areas! However, it is clear in terms of size. Entry is €7 including parking. You also have to pay the entrance fee if you just want to go to the restaurant. The entrance fee is reasonable, you should support something like that.

Update from September 30, 2024Medieval market visit:The knight's show wasn't that great and the loudspeakers in particular were booming and hissing quite loudly.The fire show was okayThe band that played was also OKThe prices are generally massively exorbitant, 0.2 liters of mead (wine) for €5, that's really usury at its finest, the mead beer 0.4 liters for €8.Of course it can cost more at events like this, but since the entrance fee was €17 per person, it was definitely too expensive for me for what was on offer!Either offer cheaper or simply offer more……200 grams of roasted almonds for just under €9 😂😂😂I was really shocked 🙈Don't get me wrong, we will come back but probably not to events like this!Very beautiful, well-preserved castle.Friendly staff and the chef (grandson and trainee), I was told, knows his craft 👍💪🏿Keep it up ☺️Greetings from Günzburg

There was a knight's festival at the weekend, very well organized. The castle has been lovingly restored, there are guest rooms and a restaurant. A tour is recommended.

Very beautiful and well-kept little castle. The emphasis is on small. Still very nice for kids, completely sufficient for a morning or afternoon. The treasure hunt is also great, but the price is really low. Would have expected small figures like cats, knights etc., not a single sty... no spoilers... food ok... very nice staff
