If you have a wheelchair, don't go here, there are steep stairs. We asked at the reception for towels, but they were kind enough to recommend an excellent shop where we could buy towels instead when they ran out. After we bought towels, it was an experience to shower among black mold, and then spend the night with insects. the hostel was careful to point out that they are not responsible for insect bites :)Expensive, not worth it!

COLD SHOWER and unable to change the temperature of the water with a press button that stays on for 10 sec and sensor light that goes off in 15 sec, you have to walk out of the shower to get the light back on then back in which is obviously also cold. And no intention from the staff to do anything about it. A hot shower is part of basic needs and you can find it in similar price range hostels and hotels, but if you want to lower your immune system to try it out, you´re welcome. For me, with 15hr+ workdays, feeling rest of the day sick and cold was not recommendable, also I have a hospitality background since 14 yrs, owning a b&b and hostel abroad, therefore I give it a 1 star. Hopefully this review will change something for the good, a little bit investment in 2 hot showers and also: leg space for the toilet upstairs and needs to be cleaned better as well, your guests will thankyou for it.

Erm no. I shared a 6 person dorm with a devil worshipper. I woke up with her preaching at 6am knelt over a pentagram poster. Being pointed at, wide eyed, while threatening to set me alight is an act of terror. The staff said she had been an issue before... The fact they let her back in proves the regard for the safety of others is zero. They will seemingly let anyone from the street in if they have €20. They said they would ask her to move on, but I did not feel safe knowing they keep the main door wide open anyways. I had to move myself out of the situation, I asked for a refund for the final night of my stay. They refused. I would NOT recommend this place.Just to note a few other things apart from the threat of immolation... The shower requires one hand to press against a button all the time for water to flow. How do you wash under-arms you ask? Please post here if you find a solution. There is also a bad ratio of toilets/showers to beds. DO NOT book if you require to be out at a specific time in the morning.I would joke about how the experience was a journey through hell, but somehow I don't want to tempt fate after sharing a room with that woman.

I spent a fulfilling and happy week here. The front desk was very friendly. The small kitchen has dishes, cutlery, a small refrigerator and a microwave, which is very convenient. The wifi here is fast and stable. There are toilets and bathing rooms on each floor. In most cases, they are very clean. There is plenty of toilet paper, the floors are dry, and the cleaning staff are really diligent. Personal cleansing can be done well as long as you avoid peak times. The room is cleaned every day and has large windows with plenty of light. Even though it faces the street, it is not noisy during the day. Sometimes when I am tired, I like to lie in bed and look at the beautiful green trees and buildings outside the window. The upper bunk bed has no guardrails but if you pay attention, there is no danger. The mattress is very comfortable and my sleep quality is very good. The location is great. You can walk to the Van Gogh Museum in ten minutes or take a tram to go there. There are restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets around.Always a great hostel! I didn’t take many photos because I was living so comfortably…

I spent two nights, everything was clean and the bed very comfortable. It is true that there is one bathroom each floor, but I never waited long.

Except for the very kind receptionists, there is nothing good about this hostel. You have to pay for the services that are usually included in other hostels, for example, towels or shampoos. The rooms are so small and narrow, you basically can't move and have no space for yourself. Even as a hostel, it was a very bad experience. They put 8 people in a room that fits for 3 people. The bathrooms are also very small.
