We really liked the place, really very original and beautiful. The location is really good, it allows you to be a little away from the hustle and bustle of the center of Amsterdam in the evening after walking around during the day. The hotel is close to the metro (5 min walk) and the ferry (10 min). The staff is very friendly, whether at reception or at the bar. The hotel offers bicycle rental. We enjoyed our stay. Especially the outdoor terrace for a drink in the evening ☺️

We stayed 3 nights with my boyfriend and we loved it! The room we chose was very small, but we knew it and we were only going to sleep anyway, so no problem. The location is very good, it is close to the center. The hotel is beautiful!! And the restaurant is a separate topic, we loved it!! We had lunch once and breakfast twice there and it was excellent. We will return

To begin with, the place is amazing and super interesting to visit, the architecture and interior design are crazy. This is an old church.On the other hand, clearly no need to sleep there!A trip to the restaurant is enough!To stay there, it becomes unpleasant...Strong smell of excrement in the common areas, especially on the dormitory side.Clear lack of privacy!Limited hygiene...and ventilation to the outside air impossible because there are no windows in the dormitories...where so many people sleep.The price is not justified in view of the offer.We struggled to get a clean towel in the evening and in the morning...The bed is very uncomfortable.The staff is unwelcoming, they don't calculate you...we don't advise you and when you ask something you feel like you're bothering...On the other hand, there is no problem for them to enter the dormitory around midnight and explain loudly how the dormitory works (locker, etc.) to a new arrival without even lowering their voice.There is no youth hostel atmosphere at all! It's every man for himself.In the morning, staff start cleaning the beds in the dormitory which have become free and make noise...nice.The day we arrived before check-in time instead of holding our luggage for free like any hotel...we were invited to pay a locker 8th to store our luggage until check-in time. ..while we were going to spend 4 days there I don't find it commercial at all.In short, I don't recommend staying there at all.Stop by, take an Instagrammable photo and then chat.The location is good: by walking you reach either the free ferry or the M52 metro easily. And you will be in the center of Amsterdam quickly.PS: you have to like sleeping with the snoring and other noises of 40 people around you...

An atypical and truly charming place but which may confuse some customers.The rooms are really small and some amenities are impractical (size of the sink, no desk, not possible to open the window).The price is high but the hotel offers a truly unique experience thanks to its architecture and design.Nice alone or as a couple, with family, I have doubts.But for a unique stay in Amsterdam, I recommend it!

The hotel itself is magnificent, however the rooms are very small and poorly soundproofed. We didn't sleep all night because we heard other customers' doors slamming all the time. The bedding is very hard. The breakfast is not great, soluble coffee no hot chocolate possible in the formula, the pancakes are not very tasty... too bad

An interesting hotel, definitely worth a visit. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are clean. However, the hotel is rather unsuitable for people with claustrophobia as the rooms are quite narrow. My room only had a tiny window that didn't open and it only led to a hallway in the hotel. Unfortunately, the ventilation system could not provide enough fresh air for two people. Otherwise everything was fine.

A very great hotel concept on Amsterdam North. To experience something different and to be in a hotel with “impact”. Even spend the night in a church! I took the Epic Room. Service top, food excellent!

I stayed in a pod at BUNK. The pods are laid out in a giant room with a bunch of other pods separated by a curtain. So from early morning all I heard was a hundred zippers of bags and people quietly talking. I think if I had gone to bed at a reasonable time then sleep would have been good. Big mistake to pass out at 5am though as i was awoken from 7am until checkout.

A solid 4 stars for the compact room. Think I'll be back again. I couldn't give 5 stars because I had minor gripes, but I slept really well here. Next time I want to stay in a pod or basic room (compact room but with natural light!).Pros:- Rooms are really well designed. Plenty of sockets, USB ports, nice touches like the fair trade towels, bin asking you to recycle outside, a door that opens both to the shower and the rest of the room (I thought this was quite clever!) and a multi head rainfall/normal shower.- I really like how small the compact rooms are. I have ADD so I lose things easily. It was nice not having much places to put things and to have everything you need in a short distance, reducing friction to task switch.- The soundproofing is sufficient enough that with earplugs on as well I couldn't hear anything.- The design of the place is gorgeous! When I got here I went on an exploring hunt and found a meeting room, an art exhibition room (that had the most torture room vibes I've ever seen), a library, and many pews scattered about the place as seating. I took photos of the main lobby area and the art on the roof of the top rooms. The vibes are immaculate: doors that say 'EMPLOYEES ONLY (AND UNICORNS)' or 'BORING AREA', cups in the restaurant that have 'YOU JUST GOT LOVE POISONED' written on the inside below the water line, and a bag in the room for donation to charity.Cons:- My main issue is the lift/stair area is really warm and stuffy and I'm not convinced the ventilation is good throughout the hotel.- My room also smelled musty (it's that classic musty hotel room smell).- If you are a light sleeper, compact rooms are on more busy hallways, so normally you can hear footsteps, doors slamming, and people talking. I am a light sleeper and I brought earplugs and I wasn't woken up at all, so this wasn't an issue this time, but I wonder if this is true for all rooms.- Location is north of the main river, which means you need to get a ferry or metro here. It's quite far from typical tourist zones and you can't cross on foot.
