The cheapest far and wide!!!A wonderfully renovated swimming pool and a wonderful sauna with a steam bath....just right after the storms outside....we love being here....and would much rather spend the money in the lake pier.....

I stayed in this hotel for a week from 10/20/24 and it was the right choice. The single room I booked on the land side was upgraded to a small double room with a mini balcony on the fire escape and was located in the Strandvilla Eils house, which is connected to the Waterkant house. It was very quiet there (maybe because I didn't have any direct neighbors at the time) and there was a kettle in the room with instant coffee and tea as well as a kitchen knife. The closet offers plenty of space. There were two armchairs and a small table. The room including the bathroom was renovated and there was a hairdryer and towels (changed daily as needed)The entire house has an old, nostalgic charm that exudes a certain cosiness. Likewise the fireplace room. A wonderful space! The smoking area was probably not used much during my stay. I didn't find the subtle smoke there unpleasant and I'm a non-smoker. There is a drink offer and waffles, which I didn't use.The breakfast offers everything for a good start to the day and everything was plentiful. Can certainly be topped with even more variety in larger houses, but for me it was good. The fully automatic coffee machine is great and the chocolate from it was also delicious. Two buffets in a total of four rooms allowed a certain level of peace in Haus Eils, which I really liked. The problem described with the heat and the windows naturally did not arise in the fall. The staff was friendly – both at the reception, in the breakfast room and during cleaning. My highlight was the wellness area, which I visited every evening and which was one of the reasons I chose this house. Everything renovated: 30 degree warm sea water pool with counter-current system and small waves. I enjoyed it.There is also a sauna and a steam bath as well as a small outdoor seating area. Bathrobe and sauna towel are provided free of charge. The location of the hotel is very good. Directly behind the dike you are almost immediately on the beach. The city is not far away, bus stop a few meters away.I didn't use the beach chairs and chairs in front of the house, but depending on the weather they would have been a nice place. There was the option of using the refrigerator, which I took advantage of. This means you can quickly make a sandwich or take advantage of the evening offerings for self-catering.If there is something negative to mention, for me it would be:The carpet in the room. The sink under the mirror cabinet was very small and you could barely brush your teeth there. There is no lockable shower in the wellness area, so it feels more like a nudist area if you want to do all the showering there and not in your room. Personally, I didn't mind that. But it's definitely not right for everyone.I booked directly with the hotel based on a tip and can only pass on this tip.I find the price-performance ratio to be good for my stay and will book here again if I go to Norderney again.

We came to Haus Waterkant again at the end of October 2024.It's in a great location, the Niemeyer family and their team are very familiar and have a lot of professional expertise. Apartments and rooms are friendly, bright and practically equipped and furnished. This is all rounded off by the large swimming pool. The location is ideal for many activities.Everything brought to a common denominator: nothing is missing, we are looking forward to next year.

We had a renovated 2-room apartment with good kitchen facilities and comfortable beds. Quiet location in the immediate vicinity of the Kaiserwiese and the promenade. …

Absolutely nice place. Missing air conditioning. The price level was high compared to the standard. But there is the same problem with other hotels in the area.

I've had better accommodations. In our opinion, smoking rooms directly at the entrance area are no longer up to date. The smell extends into the breakfast rooms, so we skipped breakfast. As long as people smoke there, you won't see us there again.

I had a good time in this hotel, yes it is not a modern hotel but it has charm. The smell of cigarettes in the entrance area wasn't as extreme as some people have written here (I'm a non-smoker.) The staff is very friendly. I'd love to come back

Not suitable for non-smokers. I booked a room on the ground floor in high season and the smoke came in through the open windows. It's a shame. The windows in the breakfast room couldn't be opened, which made it very stuffy.

Reception very friendly!Unfortunately there is always a smell of cigarettes in the reception and in the hallway... You always have to go through there... Disgusting...Fully automatic coffee machine at breakfast!Elevator quiet, hallway well maintained and clean. Chambermaids are very discreet and quiet! Quiet room.Terrace in front of the house with service.

The location is great. We had booked for one night at short notice. The rooms are clean but have an early 80s charm. We didn't use the small swimming pool, but it looked good.Apparently it is possible to smoke in the foyer area. The breakfast is simple standard. There are various breakfast rooms, but some are very warm and the seating is too close together. It's the same with the staff: many are friendly, the others have internalized the constant flood of guests for generations.
