Rooms are basic, no fridge or Nespresso machine here. Breakfast is best described as chaos, arrive after 8:30 and there are no tables and queues for the one coffee machine, people standing around waiting for a table, food runs out and doesn’t always get replenished. Noticed hours later that the tables are not cleared. Hardly any staff in evidence at breakfast. 13:30pm and the room is still not cleaned, have to hang around downstairs waiting. Location is good as close to the tram and supermarket. Parking is public and paid 16,80€ per day. Not a great experience, won’t be staying here again. Edit: after 3 days there were 2 people working the B’fast shift (must have been complaints). Coffee machine not working for 2 consecutive days thus queues forming at the bar (at least a 10 minute wait for a coffee)

Quite a nice hotel, a dull building block on the outside, but quite attractive inside. Excellent location in relation to the center and public transport (tram stop 3 minutes walk). Especially on Sundays, there is excellent (free) parking right next to the hotel. Rooms simple but fine. The only major negative was the breakfast. There wasn't much choice and at 9 o'clock most of it was gone and there was no sign of any staff except the lady behind the reception desk. Anyway, I guess that's what you get if your booking includes breakfast. Next time I'll pay for it again, because this was very mediocre,

OK for one night. However, the hotel would no longer be an option for us.Positive.Rooms were ok and the bathroom was clean too. Staff friendly. Train a few minutes walk from the hotel. About 25 minutes to the center.Negative.The worst breakfast we've ever had!Especially since the hotel is not extremely cheap! There were no rolls. Instead, a kind of broiche. Also toast and croissant and apple turnovers. Nothing fresh but everything “packaged” goods.Eggs almost turned into dust, they were cooked so hard, jam in the dispenser that you could fill into paper cups. Sausage tasted like nothing. Fruit salad was sorted out by other guests so that only sliced apples were left. Cereal nothing moving. Coffee and juice from the machine and cups only half full. Small spoons, none, wooden tiller instead. No, that was nothing at all! I would have expected at least scrambled eggs and fresh rolls!Parking space at the house. But it costs extra. We don't understand positive reviews.Sorry for the price I would have expected something better!

I've stayed here several times on trips to Amsterdam. It can be a very nice value for a western style hotel. The rooms are large compared to most Dutch mid priced hotels, the hotel is usually immaculate including the rooms. The beds and bathroom/shower are both very nice. The breakfast is adequate providing enough options to take a sandwich for later and eat something healthy to start the day. There is a tram stop minutes from the hotel that brings you to Central Station and stops at many of the most popular locations in the city. There are 2 grocery stores minutes away, and a few good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is about a 20 minute tram ride out of the main part of the city but trams run regularly.Sometimes there can be large business conferences in the area and the hotel can become very expensive at which point there are many far nicer hotels in the same price range, but not in the area.

A very rude receptionist received us, totally unprofessional and unacceptable.EDIT:The hotel's reply speaks about booking for 3 and showing up with 5 persons as if it is the problem which is a pure lie.The problem was in the impolite person that you hired who spoke with us in a rude manner. And since your response is trying to blame the guest rather than your employee who committed a major mistake we will have to say that we were facing a discrimination based on our nationality/origin from this employee.Again an unprofessional and unacceptable answer from you as a hotel.Warning to everyone: NEVER USE THIS HOTEL!

Probably not the best value for the money. Some things might be better (breakfast can have more options, for example). But it's clean, service is fine, generally it's okay.

Fabulous hotel, the staff at the hotel was phenomenal. As an IHG member, they offered me a prosecco and a traditional dutch snack, i think its called “bitterballen”. The room is decent and clean. What i liked is that they have windows for fresh air unlike other holiday inn (express hotels). They also sell the best tap beer in town. Best beer tapper is Bruno. Amber is very nice, I understood she’s new and still learning. Sara is the best when it comes to entertainment, she always happy and ready to talk. Sergio the front office manager is nice guy and lizzy is the breakfast queen. I’m now thinking of doing my wedding there. We will definitely come back. Miss you already guys.
