I was there on a school trip from September 9th to 13th, an absolute disaster. Part of my class had another house in this house, there were cups with mold and pissy toilets. Nobody cleaned there. The plates were not washed thoroughly and were full of grease stains. Doors were half broken and the beds weren't put together properly. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to ANYONE.

My son was there on a school trip. Room catastrophic, small, dirty, holes in one wall. Some girls had to move to another room because the door was broken. Cleanliness is probably very important. The food wasn't that great either, the best thing was probably the cocoa in the morning. When the next school trip goes there, most children don't want to go.

A youth hostel that is a bit outdated, but with a lot of rustic charm and very friendly and helpful hospitality. We were guests with other families on a long weekend and were really hoping for snow. Because the toboggan run at Jordanshöhe is right on the doorstep. But with the comfort of the stove in the fireplace room and the simple but varied buffet in the morning and evening (packed lunch as an option), we were well looked after. For e-mobilists there is also an easy charging option for a small fee. The pictures are actually from last year, this year the weather was just bad and we recommended a trip to the great VitaMar in Bad Lauterberg, for example. We will come back!

Breakfast was actually delicious, there was no lunch and dinner was terrible with pasta that was hard and tasteless. Guaranteed stomach ache. Rooms are quite okay, not a 5 star hotel but just like a hostel. In the middle of the forest, the nearest shop is a 20 minute walk. The toilets are rarely cleaned and look disgusting. Showering well could be worse. For the price it's not worth it!

Brother, I feel sick after this meal. Room is ok. There's only one shop in the middle of the forest somewhere, but you have to walk a long time.

Very nice owner and good food. There is a buffet and some of the food is homemade. The rooms are a bit small and there are stains on the mattresses and bedding. There is a basketball court and a sloped area outside. Overall it's a nice place for school trips etc.
