As a couple we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights because of the good reviews. The fact that it was a bit remote didn't bother us that much. The house looks very tastefully decorated inside and out and also appears to be new. Personally, what bothered me in my junior suite was that it faced the street and the owner said you couldn't hear any street noise. I sleep with the windows closed and with earplugs and was still woken up by the noise of cars and motorcycles driving past, especially because it was a forest road and you could drive faster there. As already written, I had a junior suite that was ok in size, but the TV was much too small for the distance to the bed. There was space for a minibar, but unfortunately it wasn't available. But first to the hotel which, as we found out when we left, is supposed to be sustainable and is supposedly on the internet, but we couldn't find it anywhere and it was explained to us that therefore no room cleaning was possible. Or we should have mentioned it. But no one informed us about this. The small hotel was generally quite cool in terms of temperature, which was also noticeable in the room. My underfloor heating was set to 10 degrees so apparently it didn't look inviting or welcome to me.Apparently they forgot to clean the two toothbrush cups in the bathroom so I had to replace them, the balcony wasn't cleaned at all and there was also a used ashtray by the window. The furniture that was specifically declared as box spring beds was new and modern but by no means box spring beds. The mattresses were far too soft and the pillows were foam filled. The really very small, newly renovated bathroom offered no storage space and the shower was at ground level with a level shower curtain attached to a cheap plastic rod. You also had to explicitly ask for a hairdryer.By the way, there was nothing about sustainability in the rooms or at the reception. We were just surprised that the room wasn't cleaned...All if 3 but never a 4 star hotel.

I made reservations for New Year's Eve 4 months in advance. It was canceled by the hotel. I hope I at least get my money back.

Very nice tenants and a wonderful facility. The following needs to be urgently improved:No chair or small table in the room, no coat hook to hang jackets etc. A bottle of water is normal these days and certainly necessary given the price.Glasses in the room.Reasonable furniture on the balcony, no beer table chairs.LgIt is very cold in the house, the room can only be heated with an electric fireplace.

Nice staff. Location a little hidden in the forest, but quiet location. The room still needs some work on the details, e.g. missing floor strip to the bathroom. Otherwise structure completely in wood. Brings coziness.

Beautiful hotel with a wooden look, cleverly integrated into a former indoor swimming pool, with well-designed, beautiful guest rooms, close to Bad Harzburg; Also suitable for large social celebrations (in the converted swimming pool).Rich breakfast buffet, free parking spaces in front of the house. There is a good restaurant directly opposite the hotel; good starting point for extended hiking/biking tours.

Idyllically located hotel just outside of Bad Harzburg. The facility was completely renovated. According to the landlord, some work had not yet been completed. (Almost) nothing of this was apparent. The rooms were modernly furnished and the size was sufficient. A small minibar would have been a nice detail. In the lower area there was a billiard table, darts and a large TV with a chill out corner. This area invited you to linger in the evening. The bar there was not yet finished. So we took care of the drinks ourselves. The facility also offered a large rentable room for celebrations/weddings.There is a restaurant directly opposite, which is part of the hotel. You can have a good, traditional meal there. The waiting times are a little longer, but still within reason.Overall, we felt very well received and can fully recommend the hotel. The landlord Rainer is always in a good mood and rounds off the experience.

The two of us stayed there for one night in September 2024. We received a very friendly welcome and were then personally taken to our room as part of a short hotel tour. Much emphasis was placed on the natural product of wood and it was showcased everywhere. Unfortunately, less attention was paid to the tiling work in the bathroom. The breakfast for 16 euros was nicely presented in the form of a buffet and there was a large selection. We'd love to come back.
