There is mold in the dining room, there is mold on the windows in the rooms. It's pure horror, the food isn't that tasty either, the noodles are half raw and generally the food is half raw.

The rooms were very small because you have to share a 4 square meter room with 4 people. Even though it was said that the meat was vegan, the food was vegan

I spent three days with my class in the Eichsfelder Hütte for a rhetoric trip and I was very disgusted. The rooms were very dirty. The blue protective covers on the mattresses had stains everywhere when we arrived and if you looked under the mattresses they were also full of stains from underneath (which looked a lot like sweat and urine to us). So new mattresses wouldn't hurt. There were also crumbs everywhere and when we moved in we encountered some greasy, unidentifiable substances and gummy bears. There was a wall about five meters long that was full of black mold. There were also stains on the walls in the bedrooms, but they looked more like dirt and other liquids. The toilets were very dirty. It smelled very bad when we arrived. With a total of 60 people, they were cleaned once and no difference was seen. The trash cans were still full and it still smelled. The upstairs toilets had no toilet paper after the first day.If you dared to take a shower (the shower rooms had very dim lighting so you could hardly see anything) you were surprised by ice-cold water. There was also dripping from the ceiling onto the floor and everything was very slippery. The cleaning staff was very unfriendly. The seminar leaders were very nice. That made our stay a little better. To get to the town you walk about 20 minutes. Uphill you can easily walk 40. A gravel path takes you to the supermarket. We highly recommend taking this route because the dishes in the Eichsfelder Hütte are not exactly clean and the tables were not wiped down either. Overall, the hygiene was more like 1/10.I think the accommodation has a lot of potential if you consider a few things such as new mattresses, a new dishwasher, a new interior paint job, renovated toilet and shower rooms and a proper cleaning.

We were there with our class last week. We thought the hut was great. There are several group rooms and a ski cellar. Our students particularly liked the cinema room, not only because of the opportunity to have a cinema evening (films can also be rented from the house staff), but also to organize a disco evening, as there is also a lighting system You can play table football, table tennis and in the neighboring house there is also a pool table in the group room. The food was very balanced, from vegan and vegetarian to meat dishes, a salad buffet and a great breakfast buffet. The food was always freshly cooked/prepared and there was always a selection of different dishes. Packed lunches were also offered for the day to put together yourself, including drinks and fruit. The sanitary facilities were clean and sufficient. The rooms were a reasonable size and the beds were very comfortable. For the teachers there are rooms with a bathroom and shower in the Eichsfelder Hütte. We also really liked the location, there is a lot to do in the area, from cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, hiking to visiting the Samson mine in St. Andreasberg or ice skating in Braunlage. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back. Many greetings from Braunschweig and thank you for the great time.

The location is the only thing that sets it apart, the surroundings were really beautiful.Within the two nights with our group, four beds fell apart. Luckily we were forewarned that this could happen and we had seen the missing screws lying next to it. So the bed owner was able to move to the floor. The floor and toilets were incredibly dirty and there was no toilet paper upstairs. You could still find old menstrual blood on the mattresses (we could smell it).The worst thing was the constantly dirty dishes. Maybe you should invest in a better dishwasher. To put it mildly, the staff can be described as very unfriendly.Apparently the cook was more concerned with reprimanding the guests than with his bread, which burned so badly in the oven that smoke came from the kitchen. The best thing here was the Kähler Hut where we could make a fire. It's a shame that this location is so poorly managed, with a little more quality in terms of cleanliness and furniture it could actually be a 4 star location.
