The campsite offers a central location in the Ruhr metropolitan region, directly on the Ruhr, making it ideal for nature lovers. The surrounding area has beautiful cycling and hiking trails that invite you to explore. A big plus point is the location and the proximity to nature.However, there are also clear weaknesses: Unfortunately, there are no water and wastewater connections directly at the pitch, which is a disadvantage for many campers. In addition, caravans and mobile homes are very close together, which leads to annoying exhaust gases in the cold season due to the use of diesel heaters. A better layout of space would be desirable here to increase comfort.

The campsite is located next to Werden city center, but in the flight path from Düsseldorf airport. Nevertheless, it is surprisingly quiet and very green. The places are numbered but not spatially separated. At some places you can book a rental bathroom. Is also recommended because the sanitary facilities are located at the front of the entrance. Water connections are distributed throughout the site, but are a bit difficult to locate. The bottom is very rocky, which makes driving in pegs a challenge. The employees we have met so far are pretty nice.

We had a great night's sleep in a camping barrel and felt very comfortable at the campsite. The sanitary facilities are very modern. Happy to come back!

The pitches are ok so far, only with the power connections and water not at the pitches. Sanitary facilities are top notch and very clean. At some point we no longer noticed the planes.

Clean, modern, helpful reception, restaurant in the square at the entrance.I personally didn't like the location so much, near the train station, about 300 meters away. The good thing was that it was right on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path.I base the rating for the “room” on the campsite itself, location, etc.Went camping there, price-performance ratio “ok”, 2 man tent, arrived with bike = 33€.

A lot has changed since the last visit. Construction containers gone. Reception is now very good. Nice staff. Space in the back area is very nice, even for people with walking difficulties, as the sanitary building is nearby and has been well renovated. The chemical toilet machine at the entrance is easily accessible by car.

Without a reservation, we were given a spot at the end of the campsite. The welcome was friendly.The campsite itself, however, is a sight to behold (not in a positive sense). Very messy and chaotic.Sanitary facilities were fine and WiFi was okay.We were not far from the Sanitary Building.We think the price is too high. Next time we'll drive a little further.

Hello. We were at the campsite for 5 days. The staff, no matter who we met at the reception, were very, very friendly and helpful. Good place for visiting the city after Essen. Good connection by bus and train. We felt very comfortable here. We didn't miss anything. Thanks to the whole team.

I would like to share my personal experience in these ways:Advantages:- S-Bahn with connection to Essen Hbf or Düsseldorf Hbf (Düsseldorf current SEV)- Bike path directly in front of the square-Ruhr directly in front of the square-Gas and bread service- Plumbing new- Washing machine and dryer on site- Lounge with vending machine, stove, dishwasher and sink.- Restaurant on siteDisadvantages:- very expensive- Free cassette disposal only at the back of the square, about 800 meters walk.- Industrial area on the other side- Dog kennel adjacent at the back, can be noisy- Dusseldorf airport approach path, very busy depending on wind direction.- Place quickly becomes muddy when it rains- no lunch break, the lawn is mown by our own staff during the lunch break. No understanding when confronted.- Cars are allowed to drive during lunchtime- Although the place itself suffers a lot from noise pollution, everything is being done to make it even worse.

Small square in the middle of Werden with a short connection to public transport. The sanitary facilities are modernized and very nice and also very clean!!As a village child, the noise of the planes that have an approach path here is disturbing, so there are deductions for the location. The street of the square is a bit old, but everything is tidy.

A great camping park right on the Ruhrtal cycle path.Ideal for cyclists... Great and nice service, super clean facility, great restaurants (Italians) right on site and very tasty 😋I would love to come back!!!!!!!🫶

A great campsite and beautiful place on the Ruhr: you can quickly reach Lake Baldeney, whether on foot or by bike! I felt very comfortable here and would love to come back. Becky was very friendly and explained everything very well. The sanitary facilities are also great and clean, and you feel very safe there!
