This small but nice alpaca information and shopping opportunity is easy to miss. Here you can still find real wool and products made from it that come from our own production. Such gems make the Ore Mountains worth seeing and visiting.

We were just in the farm shop and everything was explained to us in detail. Very nice products made from alpaca wool.Socks, hats, gloves, blankets and much more.The owner is a very open-minded, friendly person.We talked to her for a long time, which were very pleasant conversations.Please, dear visitors: Do not just feed alpacas. They simply cannot and are not allowed to eat everything and ultimately they will be taken care of. They belong to someone. You're not starving.This is simply an alpaca farm, not an adventure farm. Watching the animals from a certain distance is just as beautiful and relaxing! Please be considerate.And if someone does want to ask if they can go to the alpacas: ask politely, don't demand. 🦙

Dear Romy and Fritz.We were with you for the first time in Oberwiesenthal. And that certainly wasn't the last time. Nice area for hiking and enjoying nature.When we arrived we immediately found out how hospitable you were.If you want to know or learn something about alpacas or alpacas, the hosts can explain a lot about it. You also have to take a look at the farm shop with alpaca products.Since alpacas are not cuddly toys, it is not possible to cuddle the animals. But when they stand in the meadow they are easy to observe and photograph from Emil-Riedel-Straße (just around the corner).We hope to come back quickly.

Unfortunately I can't really agree with all the good reviews. You have almost nothing to do with the alpacas. I also don't understand the many photos where children cuddle the alpacas, which is not true and you are told that it is not a petting zoo. You saw them briefly far away in the pasture, that's it. If you ask if you can see them, you are fobbed off.Breakfast service hasn't been available for years, it would have been nice to know that beforehand. We were traveling a lot, so things were otherwise okay in the apartment. A vacuum cleaner would have been very useful for carpeted floors, especially for children, but there was nothing there, not even a broom or dustpan

We didn't spend the night with Romy and Fritz, but we were able to have contact with the alpacas with our children's home group in 2023 and 2024. Here Romy and Fritz have always paid attention to the well-being of the animals and children. Romy and Fritz are experienced and successful alpaca breeders and impart a lot of knowledge about the animals. Alpacas are not cuddly toys and are not suitable for walks. If you see alpacas as cuddly toys, you can buy a cuddly toy in the cozy farm shop. The children and we really enjoyed it and took away a lot of information! Thank you Romy and Fritz!

We had a great shopping experience here - great product and purchasing advice in an almost family atmosphere, nice conversations and in the end a great product (purchased) - completely different than the usual and largely anonymous goods sales machines;

It was a wonderful and incredibly educational vacation. Despite the rainy weather we had a great time. Romy wrote down lots of tips for day trips for us, so we never got bored. 😃Apartment 5 was just great. This is very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The entire house is furnished with so much love. It immediately felt like home. ☺️Romy took an incredible amount of time and told us everything about alpacas and answered every question. We were also able to look at the animals up close and even pet some of them. It was an unforgettable experience. 😃Romy always acted in the interests of the animals and not what felt best for the tourist. It was even nicer when the alpacas came to us of their own free will and wanted to be petted. 🥹Fritz even drove an excavator with our son. He still talks about it today. 😃The farm shop is just as lovingly furnished as the holiday apartments. Romy gave us very good advice and explained the advantages and disadvantages of each.We then decided on the alpaca duvets. Of course these are not cheap, but they are worth every euro. 👍👍👍We have already booked our winter vacation and are really looking forward to it.We can only recommend the dream pasture. Romy and Fritz are super nice and hospitable.Thank you for the unforgettable time with you. 😊😊😊

We had a wonderful and unforgettable time here! It was wonderful to see how happy the alpacas were and how beautifully they were cared for. We were able to experience the grazing on the alpine pastures and see the joy of the animals at being able to eat the fresh greens for the first time after the long winter, was simply fantastic! There is a lot to discover and do in the area - the days went by far too quickly for that - so we had to come back again! It was really great and we and our children felt very comfortable!

We stayed in the “Traumweide” holiday apartment for 6 days. Unfortunately we cannot agree with the great reviews here.We booked this accommodation believing we would connect with the alpacas. From the pictures it seems that the animals are a little more trusting. Unfortunately, they are very shy and do not allow themselves to be touched. You can also see the alpacas behind the fences without the holiday apartment. After a few questions, Romy took the time and allowed us to go behind the fence for a moment, but without touching them etc. Romy answered all questions and has a lot of knowledge about the alpacas. But if you book the holiday apartment BECAUSE of the alpacas, you will most likely be disappointed. As I said, you can just see the animals in the pasture.About the accommodation: The apartment was okay. It was a nice size and towels were provided. The furnishings are getting a bit old, and the carpet is already past its prime.The bed was so uncomfortable and made so much noise with every little movement that we ended up just sleeping on the mattress.If you ask, a solution will be found immediately. We were very happy about that. We were able to put our bikes in a shed and the heating problem was quickly solved. (However, we were only informed afterwards that there was a plumber in the apartment. We would have liked to have been informed beforehand about who had access to our private belongings in the holiday apartment. For example, you put things aside that you would otherwise have lying around for example jewelry etc.)There is no WiFi in the apartment. You can go into a lounge, it is available there. However, this room is even older and also smells musty. (Wi-Fi should actually be part of the basic equipment by now. Unfortunately, we generally had little reception there.)Dogs are not welcome in this lounge. (In my opinion, not so much at all. Alpacas don't like dogs. Maybe we should think about whether it wouldn't be better to say straight away that only families without dogs are allowed if, according to Romy, there are "beasts" for the alpacas...)
