I can't say anything about the rooms.I always buy my schnapps and liqueurs here. Mostly on holidays or weekends when we are traveling on motorcycles. Very, very friendly and we were never turned away even though they were closed. Very good quality for a good price.

We were there as a larger hiking group. Even though we weren't registered and they weren't actually open, we were allowed to come in. The beer was very tasty and the selection is very large. Absolutely worth a stop.

Simply excellent. The wonderful Black Forest house in the quiet altitude is very impressive, you have a great view over Ottenhöfen and the neighboring mountains. The room was pretty and well maintained. Breakfast was served in a wonderful, wood-paneled lounge with lots of morning sunshine. The breakfast buffet was excellent, everything was thought of and the quality left nothing to be desired. The host, Mr. Bohnert, gave me a short tour of the in-house distillery, very informative and pure pleasure to be able to see such a facility in the tradition of the region! Tasting the excellent spirits in the rustic tasting room was an experience in itself. When you look at the highly decorative bottles, it's almost impossible not to pick up one or two. When the local restaurants were closed, the landlady, Mrs. Bohnert, quickly conjured up a fantastic Versperplatte for me! Price/performance of everything is absolutely fine. I can highly recommend a stay at Pension Mühlenhof.
