We were 4 adults and two small children and spent a weekend in this accommodation. Starting with check-in, the stay isn't particularly positive. Although our room was generally clean, we also had dead flies on the window sills and mold in the bathroom. There hasn't been any renovations here for a long time. I can't understand the contrary reviews here. In the stairwell, cables were coming out of the ceiling and skirting boards were only half attached. According to the hotel, dogs are not allowed - but one was still spotted at breakfast. The only plus point that can be mentioned is that we were unable to make our actual booking due to a premature birth. The hotel accommodated us and allowed an alternative date. Conclusion: the hotel was okay. The environment was clean. Nice for walking, but with a lot of elevation gain. There is no restaurant or anything similar in town.

In itself a great B&B, but it is a bit strange that when you arrive you stand in front of a closed door and find a notice on the door that you have to call a number so that someone will come and let you in. In our case, the son of the owner showed up after about fifteen minutes and we received the key to the otherwise fine but boring room. Bed is fine. Plenty of parking. What is a pity is that the son does not provide any explanation as to what facilities there are and that there is a refrigerator with all kinds of drinks that you can consume and pay for when you check out. Breakfast basic but sufficient.

Hotel was great. There are no activities, shops, etc. in the village itself of Elkeringhausen. Then you really have to be in Winterberg.

After a long bike ride, we were guests at the B&B at Knittenberg and received a very warm welcome. We were immediately shown where we could park and load our bikes. The room was extremely clean and comfortably furnished. The breakfast was very varied and delicious. The breakfast room was very nice and the tables were all set with white, high quality dishes. The landlady was extremely friendly and very helpful. Thank you very much for that. If we come to Winterberg again, we will definitely stay at the B&B am Knittenberg again.

Really recommended. It is an older building (old village school), but you can see that everything was prepared with a lot of love. The rooms are large, well-equipped and very clean, the bathrooms are nice and modern. The location is great. In just a few minutes you can be in Winterberg and the various ski slopes. Particularly noteworthy is the incredible hospitality and the excellent breakfast. We weren't here for the last time. Thanks to the entire team for these beautiful days.

We would come here again and again. When you walk into the room you are immediately greeted by the fresh smell. Everything was clean and there were bath towels for each person and extra towels in the bathroom. A soap dispenser in the shower and everything as you would imagine. A television with well-known streaming services was also appropriate. Breakfast lasted until 10 and there was enough everything, from scrambled eggs, hard eggs and soft eggs to 3 types of cheese, two different types of salami and delicious rolls. There was coffee and tea, as well as orange juice, apple juice and water. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. It took us almost 10 minutes by car to get to Winterberg. In our opinion, we absolutely recommend it and fully deserve the 5 stars.

There is a large private parking lot at the guesthouse, the owner is pleasant, check-in is fast, we are living in no time. Purposefully equipped, nice room No. 5 on the floor (there is an elevator), it was spacious and pleasantly warm (-3 degrees outside), a large, stable bed with high, harder mattresses, comfortable bed linen, excellent blackout, quiet in the house and the surrounding area, I slept well here beautifully. Room equipment ideal for travelers: a table with a kettle for preparing refreshments, comfortable chairs, IPTV TV, 220 V sockets by the beds, high-quality lighting from many sources, reading lamps and sufficient storage space. A modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and plenty of storage space, everywhere in the apartment is clean and decorated for the approaching Christmas. Since we were probably the only ones here, breakfast was served - an amazing amount, cheeses, cold meats, vegetables, the winner for me was a bowl of scrambled eggs, grilled bacon and crispy warm pastries. We leave with a very good memory, the accommodation was great, the price reasonable, the service perfect, I definitely recommend it.

Good size room and bathroom. Comfortable and quiet sleep. Nice German breakfast included. Only thing not good for us was the Windows have no screen and their were mosquitos. Luckily we had repellent and after applying that we had no issues with insects.
