I’m currently staying here for 4 night. Due to a mistake on our party’s booking, I got stuck with a twin room. I’m 6’0 and this is just very inconvenient for someone as tall as me. I just need a regular standard single bed.I’ve spoken to reception the day I arrived and the two following mornings after and all they tell me is to “check the next day” instead of just making sure their current customer is accommodated in advance and has their booking adjusted rather than waiting to see if their rooms get booked out first.Secondly, the heater in my room isn’t working and it’s been very cold. They had to bring a manual room heater. (Huh?)Thirdly, my toilet doesn’t properly flush. Why am I struggling with every thing in my room? I go downstairs to use their public toilet. Also doesn’t properly flush. (Huh— again?)All around very bad experience and wish I had invested in staying at a different hotel. I don’t anticipate staying in this hotel ever again and I’ll make sure our company is aware of these issues moving forward. I feel very disregarded and unconsidered.I don’t even have much nice to say. The room is noisy from the street traffic, even on the 5th floor. Breakfast wasn’t good. Imagine staying in a brand new city and wanting so badly to explore and have a good experience, and your hotel completely taints all of that? You hotel should be the one place that brings you comfort and relief and energizes you for another day of exploration. This hasn’t been that.

Stayed at the end of July as had a meal booked in London. The hotel is a little out from central London however as it was a hot weekend we walked the 7 miles from Waterloo along the very picturesque Thames Walk. Checked in at 3pm. Quick efficient process. Room clean and tidy. Bar service and breakfast the following morning was good.

Budget hotel and felt like it, though not that cheap given it isn’t central in the city. The room numbers are strange and even the staff don’t seem to understand them - we were in 601 and were told it was on the 6th floor, as you would expect. Except it wasn’t, it was on floor 5. And on floor 6 it had an arrow pointing down saying Rooms 600-116 were below. By my calculations that does not include 601. Except it did apparently.Room was cold and aircon panel was lifeless so we asked reception to sort it out. All they could offer was a standard electric heater, which was better than nothing, but poor not to have working aircon. In the room, sockets were on one side of the bed only. Why?Breakfast was included in the price so we had some, but the food area is too small so people are constantly bumping into each other when trying to get food or drink, and cutlery kept running out.Glad we were only staying one night

Room is simple yet very comfortable, all the basic needs are present and immaculate. Breakfast was great for this price point and we enjoyed the wide choices of bread and pastries. …

The rooms itself were fine. The house keepers, kitchen, and Lobby staff were excellent. We were here for a week. Only Saturday’s breakfast was a nightmare. The food only came out in sections and small portions. Guests were rude to each other in vying for food. I seen people from the outside coming in to eat.

Spotless clean comfortable room but a tad small with hardly any storage space. Bit far from the city centre, 3 to 4 minutes walk to the bus stop and railway station , no tube station in the vicinity. Otherwise nice quiet neighbourhood

This is the worst IHG hotel that I have ever stayed in. However it is confusingly bad.I will start off positively, it's bad location is its best feature. It has a car park so I suggest you drive here as getting into central London is a bit annoying. There is a nice walk along the river here though if the weather is nice. Also it is next to a BP petrol station (With an M&S food place) a McDonald's is close and there is a great pub (the ship) very close. The manager was nice when he had to refund me because the completely useless person who checked me in made a mistake. However the place is just not good enough to be an IHG brand hotel. The room I stayed in was old, dated and broken. The air conditioning wasn't broken but the temperature is centrally controlled. There are only 4 plug points on the opposite side of the room to the bed. The single USB socket didn't work. The toilet was cracked. The water in the shower was all over the place. They can't work out if the ground floor was floor 1 or ground. Honestly it took me a while to work that one out. Please don't stay here unless you really have to.

Alex on reception went out of his way to answer our questions. It’s a nice hotel. All staff attentive with extra towels, locked in keys, cleaning tables in restaurant. Our room on both times we stayed here was clean and quiet. …

What an utter disappointment from such big brand name. The staff is missing basic room pre-inspection before assigning rooms to the guests.I was assigned a room in which the AC was not working. I was too tired that I didn’t check the AC at the time I checked-in. However, after a couple of hours I called reception to report that AC isn’t working in the room. I was told that they will reset it. After waiting for long i called again at reception and was told the same that it is being reset. Finally I went to the reception instead of calling and the person at the reception who chatted with me (will update the name here after checking tomorrow) was so impolite and rude in behaviour with me and told me that nothing can be done as there are fully booked. First of all YOU ARE MISSING BASIC INSPECTION OF THE ROOM AND THEN YOU ARE BEING RUDE WITH GUESTS. YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO DO THAT.The hotel operations manager need to teach their room inspection staff to check rooms properly as well as their reception to behave properly and listen to concerns of the guests.Need a major overhaul in service. Avoid at all costs.
